Remember the throng of people queuing up for the Chick-fil-A pop-up in Singapore just a few months back? We’re ashamedly one of those people, and the food impressed us so much that we couldn’t help but hope they eventually find a permanent home here.
Well, no more wishing needed as Chick-fil-A has officially announced their expansion to our shores (yay!). This marks the first time the popular American fast food chain is making their presence in Asia, and we can all celebrate that Singapore has received the honour.
While details are still unfolding, Chick-fil-A has announced in a press release that they’re on the lookout for their first franchise owner-operator. If you’re eager to seize this opportunity (writer here isn’t that ambitious), you can sign up here.
How Chick-fil-A’s franchise model works is that applicants will only need to pay a small franchise fee, with the company covering most of the startup costs. Just keep in mind that there will be some rent, a base operating fee, and profit-sharing charges.
When we went down to the pop-up in June 2024, we were served the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich and Waffle Potato Fries — both signatures and crowd-favourites. Of course, we dipped into their various sauces, such as Garden Herb Ranch and Chick-fil-A sauce.
All these delicious offerings will no doubt be served at the outlet but I can’t help but hope that my personal favourites — the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sub Sandwich — make it onto the menu too!
Chick-fil-A also has a selection of sides like Mac & Cheese and Fruit Cup that’s popular among children, alongside a breakfast menu featuring Chicken Biscuit, Hash Brown Scramble Burrito, and Egg White Grill, to name a few.
Here’s hoping the Singapore outlet will serve up these dishes just like they do in the United States.
Will you be the first to queue when Chick-fil-A finally lands in Singapore?
