If you’re looking to really chow down, Giant Tampines Hypermarket is jumping on the buffet bandwagon with its very own Durian Buffet Party, that’ll be taking place for the first time ever from 2 to 4 June 2023.
Durian lovers (especially those living in the east) are in for a treat, as Giant Tampines will be coming in hot with a lip-smacking array of durian varieties, including Mao Shan Wang, Black Gold, D13, Red Prawn, Golden Phoenix, D101, and more!
There are two buffet packages to choose from.
Package 1, or the Normal Durian Buffet (S$38 for early bird, S$48 for walk-in), entitles you to 100g of Mao Shan Wang, 100g of Black Gold, and unlimited quantities of all other durian varieties.
But if you’re a hardcore durian lover who can really fill up on the rich, luscious fruit, go for Package 2, or the Premium Durian Buffet (S$68 for early bird, S$78 for walk-in), which lets you feast on unlimited Mao Shan Wang, Black Gold, and all other durian varieties.
Wanna enjoy those early bird rates? Simply book your slot from now till 1 June 2023!
Slots (limited to 100 pax each) can be reserved here, and are available in one-hour intervals from 3pm till 9pm on all three days. So yes, you’ve got to eat as much durian as you can manage in an hour.
This durian buffet doesn’t come as a surprise, considering how there has been an ongoing sale (till 22 June) at Giant Tampines featuring an extensive selection of durians, including the likes of Red Prawn, Mao Shan Wang, Black Pearl, Golden Phoenix and all-time favourites D101 and D13 from as low as S$2 per durian.
And yes, you might get to purchase a la carte durians on offer from S$2 during the buffet.
