This is SG’s first rooftop driving track where you can test ride the latest Hyundai IONIQ electric vehicles for free

Racers, time to rev your engines!

There’s a new rooftop driving track in Singapore that lets you live out fast and furious fantasies — yes, you read that right, a rooftop driving track in Singapore. Bet you didn’t know a place like that existed.

The track is located at the rooftop of Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre, which is also the place where the cool Hyundai IONIQ 5 is created and tested.

The Skytrack measures 618m-long and is angled perfectly for driving with Hyundai’s IONIQ electric vehicles. It has also been specially manufactured so that the noise and vibrations won’t affect those actually working in the building.

Fun fact: did you know that you can test ride the IONIQ vehicles on the track for free too? How cool is that! Take note though that you can only test ride the Hyundai IONIQ vehicles on the track and not just any vehicle. Only qualified Hyundai personnel are allowed to drive vehicles on the Skytrack.

The Skytrack Experience is the only rooftop driving track in Singapore. Here, you’ll get to experience what it’s like to ride in the latest Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV. If you’re like me and have always wanted to experiences what it’s like to be inside the very cool Hyundai IONIQ, the chance has finally come.

You’ll be taken on a thrilling drive as you conquer sharp turns at fast speeds. Worried about motion sickness? Don’t be as the car is geared towards providing unbelievable comfort and unparalleled stability. That said, you still need to wear your seatbelt for obvious reasons.

Each session lasts for just 30-minutes but trust me it’ll be the most thrilling 30-minutes of your life. Each ride can only take up to three participants at a time and the sessions are very limited. Timings for each session start from 10.30am to 5pm, daily.

For safety reasons, driving will only be conducted by an experienced driver — because these are eventually gonna be delivered to someone else. In the event of wet weather, the Skytrack experience may also be cancelled or delayed, so you better hope and pray for good weather.

These sessions are super popular (I can see why) and they are released periodically. You can check out this website on the availability of the sessions and register for it.

Unfortunately there are currently no more slots available at the moment, but if you camp on the website, you might be able to score one. No harm trying since the sessions are completely free anyway, and the experience will be a solid 10/10.

Do you have 30-minutes to partake in a little drive?
