KFC has a new Satay Crunch Fried Chicken for a limited time starting 20 July

Satay and fried chicken — now that’s a combination you don’t hear of every day.

In celebration of National Day this year, KFC is embracing local flavours with its new Satay Crunch Fried Chicken. But don’t expect your typical skewers from this unique new dish.

The new item features chicken marinated in a special blend of turmeric glaze that’s supposed to be reminiscent of the fried chicken that your favourite makciks serve. It’s then breaded and deep-fried until crispy and golden brown. Served with the familiar peanut satay sauce, it gives fried chicken a distinct local twist.

If you’re planning for a big feast between family or friends (while watching the National Day Parade maybe?), go for the Eight-piece Satay Crunch Family Feast (S$39.95). With eight pieces of Satay Crunch Fried Chicken, one pack of popcorn chicken, nine nuggets, two medium tubs of whipped potato, it’s great for a large group to indulge in.

Otherwise, you can also purchase the a la carte Satay Crunch (S$8.20), or the two-piece Satay Crunch Meal (S$9.95). For something more substantial, there’s also the two-piece Satay Crunch Box (S$10.95) and the five-piece Satay Crunch Buddy Meal (S$20.95).

The Satay Crunch Fried Chicken will be available from 20 July 2022 for a limited period of time, so be sure to try it before it’s gone! You can do so at any KFC outlet islandwide except for Singapore Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Zoo — available for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.

PS: And if you haven’t yet heard, Cheese Fries are also finally back on the menu after being removed earlier this year. *whoop whoop!*
