This hypermarket in Bangkok just got a major makeover, and it has everything you need from a Beautrium store, a food zone, and all your daily essentials at unbeatable prices from S$0.52

Who doesn’t love a quick getaway to the Land of Smiles?

And let’s be real. Half the fun of travelling is coming back with a suitcase stuffed full of snacks, quirky souvenirs, and all those impulsive buys you swore you didn’t need (but somehow ended up at the checkout anyway).

Well, if shopping is your pastime, you’re in for a treat. Makro Sathon just got a glow-up, and it’s ready to fuel your next shopping spree.

Makro is basically Thailand’s version of Costco, Walmart, or Target. Big, packed with deals, and dangerously tempting.

As one of Bangkok’s leading wholesale supermarket chains, it’s packed with everything from fresh produce starting at just 13 baht (S$0.52) to seafood from 25 baht (S$1), meat from 8 baht (S$0.32), and all your daily essentials.

But wait, there’s more. Electronics from 49 baht (S$1.97), home decorations, beauty, wellness, alcohol, and a whole lot more are waiting to tempt your wallet (admin is so enticed to book a flight right now).

And since it’s a wholesale store, the more you buy, the cheaper it gets.

Need a break from all that shopping?

The revamped Sathon outlet now has an in-house food zone featuring spots like Dunkin Donuts, Dairy Queen, Sweet Recipe, and more.

Here’s a fun fact, this Makro also has a Tesco Lotus eatery. It makes perfect sense, considering Siam Makro acquired Tesco Lotus in 2021. So if you need to refuel before round two, now’s the time.

Oh, and if you’re still caught up in the Squid Game craze, here’s something fun. Try out the Squid Game-inspired instant noodles for 56 baht (S$2.25).

And beauty junkies, pay attention. There’s even a Beautrium store stocked with your favourite Thai and Korean beauty brands.

Located just a 20-minute drive from Siam Center, Makro Sathon is an easy stop on your Bangkok itinerary.

But fair warning: this place is a maze, and you might just find yourself lost in a sea of amazing deals

Also, bring plenty of cash. The establishment only accepts cash so don’t get caught at checkout empty-handed.

So, the real question: are you ready to shop till you drop?
