Unleash your inner artist while munching on bites and drinks from their menu, including Lamb Ribs Pasta (S$27.90) and Kunafa Chocolate Cake Slice (S$7.90).

Once you’ve completed your painting, you can have your cake and eat it, too. Take your masterpiece home to savour it or eat it on the spot as your well-earned dessert.

Sometimes, all you need is to touch grass (literally). We leafed through Singapore’s many green spaces, and the one spot we have to give a shout-out to is Chestnut Nature Park.

This is Singapore’s largest nature park with dedicated hiking and biking trails. If one of your New Year’s Resolutions was to get ten thousand steps every day, choose the South Trail and sweat it out. For a chiller hike, pick the North Trail instead.

Or, join the community group Friends of Chestnut Nature Park on their frequent nature walks around the park while learning about the park’s history, rich flora, and fauna.

Don’t forget to climb the Chestnut Observation Tower for breathtaking views of the greenery!

Camping is great for your vitamin D intake, but who honestly wants to break their back setting things up while braving Singapore’s turbulent weather?

Turn to ME Cafe & Games, which is not your typical campsite by any means — unless your campsites have video games, cafe food, and furry companions.

The Ultimate Campout (S$28.80 per pax for two hours, S$40.80 per pax for three hours) includes cat petting, board gaming, and console gaming in a private tent.

Break away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world as you hole up in your private tent. There are board games and Nintendo Switches, but there are also cats for you to paws and play with.

5. Miyo Candle

These may look like a pudding parfait, but they’re made to melt your stress, not your blood sugar.

From lattes to ice cream and petit cakes, whip up the cutest candle confections at Miyo Candle, a Korean-inspired craft house.

They offer a wide variety of other fun activities too — you can choose workshops specialising in scented suncatchers, glass art, perfume crafting, and candle-making. All materials are directly imported from Korea, and classes are taught solely by the owner.

Apart from dessert-inspired candles, create plants or aesthetic dioramas using wax. You’ll leave with candles that look good enough to eat (as much as it’s tempting to, please don’t), and smell just as soothing as the crafting process.

While bookings cannot be made on their website, message Miyo Candles on Instagram for booking enquiries.

This one’s just for the girlies (we’re not sorry).

Girlhood can be tough, especially during the transition period from tertiary education and work. Adulting is hard, and that’s why it’s so important to have a group to connect and grow with.

Enter Screaming Pigeons, a local community for women in their twenties and thirties. You can find authentic female connections at their social events, such as guided hikes, workshops, and more.

Want to go on a hot girl walk with good company and food? Their monthly Matcha City Hop lets you explore matcha and coffee spots, with intentional conversations. Or, take the time to unplug, connect, and soak in your surroundings through Mindful Trail Chat, a mindful group hike in nature.

New events pop up from time to time, so stay updated here.

9. Paaru

Sometimes, the best remedy for a long day is a hearty meal to fill your belly. For a warm and soulful Japanese homestyle meal, head over to Paaru

Paaru’s savoury Udon Carbonara Set (S$25) with mentaiko and bacon hits the spot, especially on a cold and rainy day. If you’re missing your Lactaid, opt for the Soba Set (S$24) with steaming homemade dashi and spicy yuzu pork instead.

Feel like snacking instead? Once a week, the team bakes shokupan for their Grilled Cheese Shokupan Sandwich with Nori Butter (S$16). The labour of love truly translates into their light and fluffy loaves.

For drinks, try the Matcha Latte (S$7.50) or its sister, the Houjicha Latte (S$7.50).

Whether you’re craving comfort or just a quiet moment to yourself, treat yourself to the kind of food that feels like a hug in every bite.
