Japanese souffle pancakes.
If you’ve ridden this dessert’s trend wave when it first hit Singapore, you’d know Japanese souffle pancakes are typically a sit-down dessert in which you savour these tall stacks on plates.
Well, forget what you know about them, as the viral China souffle pancake chain MoeMoe’Soft has opened its first Singapore outlet in Somerset with a stuffed spin on this cloud-like dessert.

MoeMoe’Soft is best known for serving souffle pancake “sandwiches” where cream filling is loaded into the fluffy pastry.
Both the pancakes and cream fillings are made fresh in-house daily, with several batches whipped out every few hours.

Flavour-wise, there’s something for everyone. Go back to the basics with their signature Hokkaido Milk (S$5.90), with the original pancake stuffed with house-made Hokkaido milk whipped cream.
The Sakura Hokkaido Milk (S$6.90) is a step up from the signature in its appearance. This flavour variation has strawberry whipped cream and a sakura flower-shaped icing topping as a pretty finish.

Berry sweet options are available too. Try the fruit-based Grape & Cream (S$6.90) or the Strawberry & Cream (S$6.90), both decorated with muscat grapes and strawberry slices, respectively.
At this point, you should expect matcha to invade all your favourite desserts, and MoeMoe’Soft didn’t disappoint.
The Classic Matcha (S$5.90) not only infuses matcha into the cream but also the pancake itself.

And for more unique flavours, check out the Salted Oreo (S$5.90) and the Double-layer Cheese (S$8.90).

Undoubtedly, their main stars are the souffle pancake “sandwiches”, but they’ve recently launched the Souffle with Strawberry Milk Foam (S$10.90).

Rather than a “sandwich”, two souffle pancakes are stacked together here. To top it off, strawberry milk foam, sprinkles of freeze-dried strawberries, pistachios, and a whole strawberry rest atop this masterpiece.
Just when you think that’s all to the menu, another equally soft treat enters the picture. Aside from the souffle pancake “sandwiches”, your heart will be flipped by their soft serves.
Their soft serve selection is short but sweet, offering Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream (S$6.90) and Matcha Ice Cream (S$6.90). These are served in either a cone or cup, the perfect pick-me-up to pair with the souffle pancakes.

For the best of both worlds (or if you’re just indecisive), the Souffle Ice Cream (S$9.90) squishes a souffle pancake next to your soft serve ice cream. Like the soft serves, you can get either Hokkaido Milk or Matcha.
