Michelin-recognised Japanese pizza chain PST to open its first outlet in SG serving Tokyo Neapolitan-style pizza this June 2025

by Glenda Chong

This just in: One of Tokyo’s award-winning, top pizza chains will soon fire up Singapore’s food scene.

Pizza joint Pizza Studio Tamaki (PST) will be landing on our shores, more specifically Tanjong Pagar Road, on 10 June 2025

You can tell this is a big deal from its Michelin recognition and star-studded visits from the likes of Justin Bieber and Naomi Osaka.

But beyond PST’s famed diners and accolades, what really matters is what comes out of the oven. A culinary handshake between Italy and Tokyo, PST serves Tokyo Neapolitan-style pizza.

Unlike standard pizzas, it has a lighter, puffy crust but with just as much chewiness and a thin centre. Japanese and American flour is also used to make a dough that is fermented for 30 hours.

As for what’s on Singapore’s first PST outlet’s menu, you’ll be treated to 12-inch pizzas. This is somewhere between the Tokyo branch’s eight-inch and 14-inch pizzas.

Flavour-wise, the menu features offerings similar to Tokyo’s, with nine pizzas available starting from S$22 to S$34. That means you no longer need to book a flight to try the real deal!

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been confirmation on which exact flavours Singapore can expect, but here are some of the items currently offered in PST.

PST’s pizzas usually come with either a tomato or cheese base. For the red sauce selections, this includes Tamaki (yes, this is named after PST’s founder Tsubasa Tamaki) which has cherry tomatoes, Pecorino Romano, basil, and smoked mozzarella.

Margherita is topped with buffalo mozzarella while Romana has olives, anchovies, and Aomori garlic among other toppings. And finally, the Diavola comes with housemade pork sausage, olives, and basil.

On the other hand, cheese-base pizzas include Nduja, which brings the heat with spicy Calabrian sausage. Or take things to the max with 5 Formaggi’s five cheeses. And Oltrana has mozzarella, mascarpone, Pecorino Romano, and cherry tomatoes.

Of course, no great meal is complete without the perfect place to enjoy it. Singapore’s PST outlet is expected to have 60 seats. So if I were you, I’d get ready my alarms as reservations are going to fly (fastest fingers first!).
