The problem is that most of these tend to be a little pricey, and sometimes I just don’t feel like paying up to S$30 for some photos (no matter how cute they are). If you can relate, look no further than this list of the best photobooths in JB!
1. Photogenic.JB
Looking for a more minimalistic experience? This studio offers a no-frills self-photoshoot experience at just RM50 (~S$15) for two (top up RM10/~S$3 per additional pax). You’ll get 15 minutes in the booth, and you can even keep all the soft copies. Plus, this is the time to get in as many shots as you can, since they offer unlimited photos.

2. Seshoot Studio
Prices at this studio start from an affordable RM10.60 (~S$3) per pax, depending on which package you’re going for. If you’re pressed for time, go for the Express — RM25 (~S$7.50) for two, which includes 5 minutes of unlimited shots, soft copies and one printed photo.
For those of you who plan to go as a group, you can opt for the Standard four pax limit (RM55, ~S$16) or Premium eight pax limit (RM85, ~S$25), which comes out to about just S$3 per person!

3. Selca Malaysia
If you’re looking for value photobooths in JB, this is for you. Located in Eco Galleria, this self-photo studio offers single (15 minutes) and double (30 minutes) sessions for two — and you can even add RM10 (~S$3) to snap photos with your furkid. However, do bear in mind that the studio is Muslim-friendly, so dogs aren’t allowed.
Single sessions will set you back RM30 (~S$9), and include two soft copies and two printed photos. However, whenever I’m at these photobooths, I usually find myself needing more time to choose poses and get into position. If you can relate, go for the double session that’ll set you back just RM50 (~S$15) — you’ll also get three soft copies and three printed photos.

4. Sakura Selfie Studio
In need of some serious photo-taking? Head over to Sakura Selfie Studio for high tech equipment, make-up services and more. Yes, I’m talking costumes, make-up, and even AI editing — so you can be sure that you’ll look good.
Packages start from RM138 (~S$40) for a standard session and RM408 (~S$120) for the full works, making it one of the priciest on this list. For what you get, though, I’d say it’s pretty worth it, especially for special occasions!

5. Kacha Kacha Studio
We’ve saved the most affordable option for last — Kacha Kacha Studio is one of the cheapest photobooths in JB, with Express packages of RM20 (~S$6) for up to five pax, which amounts to roughly just S$1 per person! The studio also has the cutest props for you to spice up your photos with, so feel free to let your creativity run wild.
