Shake Shack is opening at Westgate so Westies can also get their hands on those juicy burgers

Many of us remember when Shake Shack first opened in Singapore at Changi Jewel — the hype, the insane queues, and the first bite into their juicy burgers. It’s been 2 years since then and Shake Shack has announced a new Westgate outlet, their 8th in Singapore.

This will also be their first outlet in the West, so Westies can now get their hands on the popular burgers without having to voyage all the way to the central region of Singapore. Hopefully, that means we’d be getting outlets in the North and North-East of Singapore too.

Like with all their previous new outlets, there will be a limited-time menu for Shake Shack’s Westgate outlet when it opens. We’d have to wait a bit to get news on what will actually be on it but it’s gonna be good, judging by past specials like the fragrant fried-shallot-loaded ShackMeister Burger at Suntec City and the umami Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger at Gardens by the bay.

The popular burger chain will be taking over a unit on the first floor of Westgate and will be collaborating with Singaporean visual artists Inkten and Clogtwo from Ink and Clog Studio to spruce up the place with some splashes of colour and sleek geometric motifs.

Even if we don’t know what unique specials Shake Shack will bring to Westgate’s limited-time menu, we’re sure Westies will be equally happy to just munch on some of the Shake Shack classics that have attracted long queues all over Singapore.

Of course, there’s the simple and fuss-free ShackBurger (S$9.20) that provides plenty of luscious beefy goodness atop fluffy potato buns, then there’s also the smoky bacon-loaded SmokeShack (S$10.90) for those who prefer heavier flavours.

But our personal favourite has to be the unique vegetarian ‘Shroom Burger (S$10.80) that features a hefty portobello mushroom deep fried to a pristine crisp and oozes rich molten cheese when you bite through its airy golden-brown crust.

And obviously, it’s not really the Shake Shack experience without their cold treats and you can some indulgent desserts from Westgate when they open, including their iconic Classic Shakes (S$6.90) and indulgent Concrete (S$7.50) desserts.
