This year, from 4 July 2025 to 6 July 2025, the Skechers Sundown Festival is stepping up its game to be Asia’s first carbon-negative music festival and gradually become a 100% plant-based music festival.
To fill these big shoes, the festival is introducing Gaia, a new strategy pillar on sustainability to curate environmentally responsible events and drive social impact through music.
Kicking off this commendable feat is the inaugural Music Climate Action Summit, a first in Southeast Asia.
Music industry leaders will gather to co-launch the #PlasticFreeParty movement for future live music events.
Gaia is also laced with other activities promoting environmental responsibility, including talks by Eco-rapper Hila The Earth, TikTok edutainer Biogirl MJ, among other artists, scientists, and changemakers.
Beyond the talks, get hands-on with the Gaia workshops and fringe activities, including vinyl art painting and sound healing.
You’ve filled your mind, now fill up on nature-inspired elixirs and adaptogenic blends at the Botanical Bar — all alcohol-free.
A festival isn’t a festival without some food for fuel. Taste Asia’s regional flavours through street food and gourmet delights, which includes plant-based food vendors for the first time at the festival.
The festival’s environmental commitment doesn’t stop at the cup — quench your cravings for style and fun at the Marketplace.
There, discover pre-loved, upcycled creations and sustainable fashion.
Beauty and self-care meet climate awareness at the eco-glam station too. Try jagua tattoos, eco glitter, eco-friendly hair styling, UV neon face paint, relaxing massages, and a cold plunge.
Beauty is all around you at the festival as well. Art installations will be there to carry sustainability messages and provide opportunities for photos.
Last but certainly not least, what you’ve been waiting for — Skechers Sundown Festival 2025’s music lineup.
Pump yourself up for 40 regional and international artists’ performances who’ll get you on your feet for three days.
These include K-pop powerhouse and member of K-pop girl group MAMAMOO Hwasa, and fellow Korean soloist Dabin, previously known as DPR Live. A younger, but just as talented K-pop boy group, TNX will be performing too.
From Thailand, jam out to popular Thai rock bands Tilly Birds and Slot Machine.
And hailing from China are rap stars JelloRio and Gali, first and third place winners of Rap of China 2020.
Closer to home are Malaysian acts like DIOR and Indonesian all-female metal trio VOICE OF BACEPROT, bringing the girl power and diverse sounds through Mandopop ballads and heavy metal.
Finally, to round things off are our homegrown acts, including WHYLUCAS, best known for competing in Chuang Asia 2, local rapper Shigga Shay, and female singer-songwriter inch.
