Calling all mala maniacs! It’s time to kickstart your morning with a fiery new limited-time addition to the Subway Singapore menu — Mala subs.

We all know how popular mala is in Singapore — from the OG mala tang and mala xiang guo to wacky creations like mala hotpot-shaped buns, mala pizza, and even mala kolo mee…the possibilities are endless!

If you’re looking to turn up the heat and set your endorphins running (without the extra calories), Subway has launched Mala Subs, available in Chicken and Beef. Choose to either pair the delectable and numbing sensation of mala with lettuce, cucumber, and red onion, or concoct the spicy sub of your dreams.

The Mala Chicken starts from S$8.50 for 6-inch and S$13.50 for a footlong, while the Mala Beef starts from S$8.90 for 6-inch and S$13.90 for a footlong — both are available as subs, salads, and/or wraps.

If you tend to order your kopi siew dai” (less sweet), you’ll be pleased to know that Subway has also released a Chocolate Chip Cookie Siew Dai (from S$1.70) — it retains the well-loved flavour and indulgence of the OG Chocolate Chip Cookie, but with less sugar. As someone who prefers desserts that are less sweet, this is something I’ll definitely be trying.

The mala subs will be available at participating Subway restaurants islandwide and across major delivery platforms from now till 28 March 2023, so be sure to get your hands on ’em before it’s too late!

Will you be hitting up Subway for mala subs this week?
