The newly renovated thematic food atrium highlights several stalls such as Shabu Bar, Myung Ga II Minipress, Cha Han, and Zhang Ji Yun Jiao. To add to the atmosphere of a retro diner, stall assistants are also dressed to look the part. How adorable.

Here’s a miniguide for you to reference before you head down.

Shabu Bar

Most of us are no strangers to hot pot, but what if you could have it in a food court, Sukiya-style?

Shabu Bar, specialising in Japanese-style shabu shabu, has been serving hot pot with a fusion twist in a food court setting, since 1993.

Diners can enjoy individual hotpots, perfect for when you want a pot of your own, or if you’d just like to explore different flavours.

Soup flavours include Signature Chicken Broth, Tomato Boost, and Mala Hype. Pair your soup bases with either the Tender Boneless Chicken Set (S$12.90), US Beef Shortplate Set (S$14.90), or the Seafood Supreme Set (S$15.90).

Myung Ga II Minipress

Ever had Myung Ga II? Now you don’t have to travel to Tanjong Pagar or Bukit Timah, just for this popular Korean restaurant. 

Enjoy their signatures including Myung Ga II’s Mul-Naengmyeon (S$9.90), viral Donkatsu (S$12.90), and Seafood Pancake (S$16).

Paired with special house spice blends, the Mul-Naengmyeon is a refreshing and authentic bowl of cold noodles with broth made from pear and radish. It certainly sounds like something I would order when I’m there.

Cha Han

If you’re torn between Japanese food and fried rice, opt for Cha Han, which means “fried rice” in Japanese.

This beloved garlic fried rice promises an irresistible aromatic experience with the use of a specially treated garlic and signature oil, and a one-of-a-kind technique to look in the flavour and fragrance of the dish.

Cha Han’s menu includes Egg Fried Rice with Teriyaki Chicken (S$8.30), Chicken Egg Fried Rice with Chicken Scrambled Egg (S$9.30), Garlic Fried Rice with Tender Steak Cubes (S$16.80), and more.

To commemorate their reopening, from 14 September to 31 October 2025, BreadTalk Group Rewards App members can redeem over S$20 worth of vouchers, only at S$9.90!

First, this outlet boasts two floors that exude different vibes!

On the first floor, choose between outdoor or indoor seating.

Or for a more private setting, head upstairs. 

Whether you’re chatting over long communal tables or huddling in what I’d dub the “couple’s cave”, aka a snug nook built for two, the dimly lit space with closed curtains felt like a secret hideaway.

Found your cosy corner? Good. To sweeten the deal, there’ll be a one-for-one scoop promotion on opening day from 3pm to 8pm! This basically means bringing a friend or just treating yourself twice.

But if you’re unsure what to get, I’ve got you covered. 

Of the 12 flavours available, the new ones include Earl Grey Lemon Tea (Dairy-free by the way — a win for anyone lactose-intolerant!) and Biscoff Cheesecake. 

Price-wise, single scoops go for S$5 while double is S$9. Add a S$1 if you’re opting for the premium flavours.

And if you’re having it in a cone instead, add a S$1 as well.

We sampled Earl Grey Lemon Tea, as it’s the first time I’ve heard of lemon tea gelato so I just had to.

This was refreshing, light, and tangy. If you’re not indulgent, get this and you’ll probably want seconds.

Fan-favourites include Milky Honeycomb, Brownies N Cream, and Grape Yakult W/ Oreo Bits.

Compared to the rest, Milky Honeycomb was creamier. The honeycomb added a caramelised sweetness without being too cloying.

You can’t go wrong with the classic Brownies N Cream, as the rich chocolate flavour comforts the soul.

And finally, yes, even I had to do a double-take, the Grape Yakult W/ Oreo Bits. This sounds like an unlikely duo, but never judge a book by its cover (or more like its swirl).

First lick and I’m not exaggerating when I say this — but it tasted almost exactly like Grape Yakult. Sweet, milky, fruity, and with Yakult’s signature tanginess, it’s like licking (or biting, I won’t judge) the drink.

Personally, the soft Oreo bits didn’t do much for me, but it didn’t clash or overpower.

It’s like dunking your Oreo into a tangy, fruity milk.

Now for the headline act. If you don’t know what After Hours Gelato is known for, it’s their Signature Churros Mochi Waffle (S$8.50).

We got two scoops to crown this masterpiece — Milky Honeycomb and Grape Yakult W/ Oreo Bits.

Both flavours are starkly different, but worked amazingly with the waffle for various reasons. 

Pair the waffles with Grape Yakult W/ Oreo Bits for a reminder of fruit-based mochis. 

For Milky Honeycomb, the waffle’s toasty cinnamon and crunchy notes contrast nicely with its smooth creaminess for a rich, satisfying spoonful.

Aside from this, you must get the outlet-exclusive item — Dalgona Coffee Cream Butter Toast Set (S$18) if you’ve still got room for more.

A major throwback to 2020, this thick and soft toast, combined with a vanilla gelato scoop and the dalgona coffee cream, reminded us of tiramisu.

Finally, we ended with drinks — Iced Matcha Latte (S$7) and Watermelon Calpis (S$6).

The Iced Matcha Latte was not too sweet, while the Watermelon Calpis didn’t have as much watermelon flavour as we expected, but it was still refreshing.

The post After Hours Gelato opens a new two-storey outlet with an opening day 1-for-1 scoop promotion, outlet-exclusive Dalgona Coffee Cream Butter Toast set and more appeared first on Confirm Good.

But don’t worry — now, you no longer have to wait four hours just for a taste of this famous donut shop’s doughy goodness as they’ve finally opened a permanent store in Singapore! 

Located at Junction 8 in Bishan, the takeaway kiosk (sorry, no dine-in) will offer 20 different flavours, with prices ranging from S$2.30 to S$2.50 per donut.

You can get six donuts for S$14, or 10 for S$23 as part of a bundle deal, but each customer is limited to a maximum of 10 donuts per purchase.

As anticipated, hot favourites like their best-selling chewy, moist and highly addictive Pon de Ring donuts are available, in flavours like Original (S$2.30), Plain (S$2.30), and the Singapore-exclusive Chocolate (S$2.50).

Having tried all five donut variations, the Pon De Ring, with its light and chewy mochi-like texture, is definitely a must-try. If you can only get your hands on one type of donut, this is it.

Go for the crunchy cookie-style Old Fashion (S$2.30), another of Mister Donut’s signatures, if you prefer your donuts on the denser side.

Fans of cream-filled yeast donuts will enjoy the fluffy Custard Cream (S$2.50) — we certainly preferred it to the Angel Cream (S$2.50), which comes filled with a slightly greasy- tasting whipped cream (that left a not-so-pleasant waxy aftertaste).

And if cake donuts are up your alley, the Strawberry Chocolate (S$2.50), yet another Singapore-exclusive comprising moist chocolate dough coated with strawberry-flavoured milk chocolate, will definitely tickle your fancy. Do note that it’s way sweeter as compared to the other flavours!

During the official opening, do keep an eye out for limited edition gifts, like folders and sticker sheets, that you can take home with any purchase. Oh, and a second outlet in the central area is in the works, so stay tuned!
