If you’re always seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of city life, you can now visit Ten+, a safari-themed bistro, the first of its kind in Singapore, hidden away near the Tengah/Choa Chu Kang area.
Although it is located off the beaten track at Sungei Tengah, (it is a seven-minute drive from Choa Chu Kang MRT station) this is the ideal “ulu” cafe and bistro for those who want to dine in “the wilderness”.
There are even sections that offer a unique camp-like dining experience, complete with low tables and camping chairs — one is even outfitted with actual tents (and atmospheric lighting)!
The fusion East-meets-West menu features Japanese-inspired donburi and heartier Western-style mains such as the Flame Grilled Angus Burger (S$23) and Baked Snapper with Sambal Aioli (S$23), alongside bar snacks like Crispy Kawa Ebi (S$15), Szechuan “Mala” Karaage (S$13), and Thai Grilled Pork Skewer “Moo Ping” (S$14).
You can look forward to an upcoming BBQ concept — the first of its kind in Singapore, perhaps?
And of course, you can also find a decent selection of beers (both bottled and on tap), cocktails, liquors, and artisanal coffee, with enticing options like the Smoked Oak Mocha (S$6) and PSP Latte (S$6), a wholesome concoction of purple sweet potato, milk, and espresso.
As part of its soft launch, the bistro is currently offering a promotion on its signature Crispy Pork Knuckle (U.P. S$32) at just S$15.90, for a limited time only.

This sheltered outdoor bistro with fully alfresco seating is also in the process of becoming pet-friendly, so you can look forward to dining with your furkids in the (hopefully) near future!
