Embrace your inner child at the world’s most elaborate LEGO art exhibition, featuring more than 150 artworks and a play and build area in Singapore

Anyone ever experienced the pain of stepping on a LEGO brick?

Once you’ve felt it, you’ll never forget that sensation, even as you grow into adulthood.

Nonetheless, LEGO is something we fondly associate with a time when we were young and carefree (what I’ll do to become a child once again), though it’s also popular as a collectors’ item for some avid fans.

Guess it’s time to reconnect with our youthful spirit as the world’s most elaborate LEGO art exhibition has finally landed in Singapore after dazzling over 100 cities across 24 countries.

The Art of the Brick is the brainchild of artist Nathan Sawaya, who has transformed over a million LEGO bricks into more than 150 awe-inspiring works of art.

Get ready to marvel at playful reimaginings of some of the world’s most iconic art masterpieces, like Michelangelo’s David and Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night — LEGO style, of course!

There’s even Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, so you don’t have to join the snaking queues at the Louvre Museum in Paris just to get a glimpse of her.

Parents, keep an eye on your little explorers — there’s a six-metre-long Tyrannosaurus Rex on the loose!

Meanwhile, photographers, get ready to snap away at a stunning multimedia showcase of LEGO photography that’s sure to inspire.

For a more hands-on experience, head on over to the Play and Build area. Think of it as a supersized version of the ones you’ll find in most LEGO stores throughout our shores.

However, there’s more room for creativity and you’ll have the freedom to build bigger, bolder structures!

By the end of your tour, make sure to stop by the gift shop to take home memorabilia or two. The shop is home to some event-exclusive LEGO items, so you don’t want to miss those out.

The entire tour lasts around an hour.
