To anyone who’s obsessed with curating the perfect Insta feed, capturing special memories or is just vain in nature (no shame in that!), you’re probably a frequent visitor of photobooths or self-photo studios.
They are aplenty on our shores due to their popularity, so it can get pretty overwhelming when it comes to choosing one particular spot.
Well, let’s say you’ve exhausted all the photo booths in Singapore, are looking for a background to complement your coquette-inspired outfit, or are around the Orchard area, there’s thankfully a new place for you to head down to.
Hana Film’s second outlet at Orchard Central is Singapore’s very first hotel-themed self-photo studio, and you’ll get a sense of checking in with the minor decor pieces displayed throughout the space.
You’ll get to select your desired theme through a ‘room service’ menu, before touching up your makeup and hair at the vanity counters. Yes, there are hair styling tools provided, in case you’re wondering.
Other touches include vintage wall panels, an antique telephone, a golden tea trolley and silver dish trays, which gives the studio a slight old-school luxe vibe.
What’s a photobooth without fun and cute props, right? Pick from a wide range of accessories like capybara headbands, Y2K-style headphones, furry sunglasses and more to amp up your photos.
While there are four themed rooms available, I can safely bet that most of y’all will want to be in the “Top Down” booth, which is where you can find a cloud-shaped sofa lined with pillows, plush toys and a blanket.
If you were to fall asleep on it, I wouldn’t blame you.
The room is decorated with artsy posters on the walls, with one featuring a bunch of pink ribbons (coquette, anyone?), and a green chequered rug that adds a pop of colour and texture to your top-down photos (hence its name).
For those who’ve been to Hana Film’s 1st outlet, you can get its affordable prices here as well. Strips come at S$10 for two Strips, S$10 for Multi-Cut and S$10 for ID Photo, with an additional copy at S$2.
Once you’re done, don’t forget to adorn your pics with the free washi tapes offered.
Hana Film Orchard Central closes at 12am daily, so make sure to head over for some snaps to end your night on a high!
