The croffle craze won’t be stopping anytime soon, so we’re better off simply embracing it. But who knew that even The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf would jump on the bandwagon with newly launched Croffles on a stick?
We spotted these buttery croissant-waffle hybrids at the 24-hour Coffee Bean outlet in Sengkang’s Compass One (#01-23), which seem to have been released without much fanfare.
Keep a lookout for a dedicated croffle station, where you can find several waffle machines with staff ready to whip up these sweet confections.
Each croffle is handcrafted (hence the varying shapes and sizes), and is freshly made to order, making for a crispy and decadent treat you won’t be able to resist.
There are four flavours to choose from — go for the Original, which is dusted with snow-like powdered sugar, or take it up a notch with the White Chocolate Almond, Matcha Almond, and Dark Chocolate Red Velvet, all of which are priced at S$3.50 a pop.
We opted for the Matcha Almond, which was generously drizzled with a bittersweet (more sweet than bitter) matcha sauce and crunchy almonds. It had a unique yet enjoyable mochi-like texture — we polished it off within seconds.
Do note that these croffles are only available at Compass One, while stocks last, so those living in the Northeastern part of Singapore are definitely in luck.

We’re not sure whether these croffles on a stick will be rolled out at more outlets islandwide, but till then, you’d better head down to Sengkang for your sweet fix before they sell out!
