Good crepes are a rare find in Singapore, there aren’t many places that sell it, much less churn out good authentic ones. If you want a taste of the authentic French dessert, you can get it at French Fold, opened by the same people behind Merci Marcel.

Not only that, but the crepe cafe will also be offering 20% off all food items until 18 August 2021. In addition, you can get one of French Fold’s signature Salted Caramel Crepes for free until 8 August 2021.

They are throwing in a complimentary Salted Caramel Crepe (S$8) with any orders placed through their Whatsapp pick-up service.

You can take your pick out of a variety of both sweet crepes and savoury galettes at French Fold to go with the free Salted Caramel Crepe. They even specially import buckwheat flour so they can churn out super authentic Brittany-style galettes!

Everything is prepared ala minute on a hot girdle, ensuring a delectable texture that is wonderfully soft and chewy. Or in the case of galettes, soft and chewy on the inside and lightly crispy on the outside.

For a heartier meal option, French Fold offers classic combos such as their No. 04 (S$17). It’s a sizeable galette with a glut of flavoursome ingredients such as ham chiffonade, sauteed mushrooms, Comte cheese, and sunny side up.

Chock-full of umami and fragrant cheese notes, this cheese-filled baby is definitely something worth indulging in for a brunch.

Besides that, you can also find interesting options such as the No. 12’s (S$17) Indian-inspired Masala chicken, chilli, tomatoes, french cheese and peanuts.

But if you want something healthier, tuck into some leaves set inside galette bowls. French Fold’s take on the Caesar salad (S$22) contains a medley of kale, grilled chicken, poached eggs, bacon and aged parmesan tossed into a beautifully shaped galette — great for some IG-worthy egg porn.

That said, some of us just love crepes as desserts — nothing quite like light chewy crepe skins smothered with some silky sweet sauces.

If that’s the case for you, there are other combinations such as a premium Valrhona Chocolate 70% (S$9) as well as a White Chocolate with Speculoos Biscuit (S$11) for avid speculoos lovers.

Sadly, some of their popular sweet crepes such as No. 21 (S$12) with orange and dark chocolate sorbet aren’t available for takeaway, since they’d just melt to the ground. But just make a note to yourself to dine in there after the dining-in ban is lifted, crepes are good anywhere but they are the best fresh off the girdle.
