One of the best things about the festive season? The endless stream of Christmas markets popping up everywhere. Think of them as the ultimate one-stop shop, where you can snag everything from Christmas gifts and general lifestyle goodies to stylish clothes and so much more.
Flea markets are all the buzz right now, so what if I told you there’s a Christmas thrift market to get excited about? From 30 November to 1 December 2024 (yes, it’s for a weekend only!), The Marketplace Collective is taking place at Marina Bay Sands and it’s free for all to enter.
The Marketplace Collective sounds unfamiliar but that’s because it’s a rebrand from the popular Mega Flea Market — a name that’s known to seasoned flea market goers. For the first time, the flea market will be hosting a Christmas-themed pop-up to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
Here, you can find more than 300 stores — each of them offering a wide variety of goods, such as clothing and accessories, pet items, beauty products, homeware, and many more.
Some of the brands confirmed to make an appearance include @twm_sg for vintage watches (currently a big thing on TikTok!), @buibuicandles for realistic food candles, @pawfurry.sg for pet accessories, and @pigeoncrafts for stationeries, to name a few.
But that’s not all, as there’ll be food and drink stores lined up as well. I’m not too sure which vendors will be present but you can take a rough guess based on last year’s Mega Flea Market event.
While shopping, you’ll also be entertained by a lineup of live performances and a bunch of fun activities like face painting, balloon crafting, and of course, a photobooth to snap your best poses.
If you spend S$100 or more, you’re in for a shot at the lucky draw. However, for those who’ve dropped over S$200, you’ll score a guaranteed prize from the sure-win lucky dip.
With over 300 stores and the ultimate Christmas vibes, it’s the best excuse to spend your weekend at Marina Bay Sands.
