Whether you’re a fan or just curious, visiting a Christmas market during the festive season is a must. You might not even have to plan for it — you could just stumble upon one while wandering around.

While there are plenty of Christmas markets to explore throughout Singapore, the one you might want to plan your schedule around is the first-ever World Christmas Market in Singapore, held from 5 December to 25 December 2024 at The Promontory@Marina Bay.

While we might not be bundled in cosy sweaters (though feel free if you can handle the heat), you’ll definitely get into the festive spirit as you stroll down Candy Cane Lane, sing along to carols, and shop for fresh trees at the Christmas Tree Farm.

Plus, enjoy live entertainment like The Christmas Musical and Roving Carollers to keep everyone in high spirits, and don’t miss the Snow Globe Picture Booth to capture some magical memories!

The Christmas light-up at Orchard Road is a yearly affair but it looks like they’re turning up the festive fun for this year’s edition.

For the first time ever, there’ll be a bar-hopping event along the iconic stretch (cue excitement for all drink lovers), where you can sip on a bundle of eight signature cocktails from four specially chosen bars till 31 December 2024.

All that while surrounded by a ‘firefly garden’, a 14m tall tree with snowfall, carnival rides like a ferris wheel, claw machines (who knows? There might be Labubu in there), and many more.
