Tuck into halal French fare with S$18++ lunch sets, IG-worthy high tea platters & more

If you’re a romantic at heart who absolutely adores Paris, you can now travel to the City of Love without even leaving the country. Nestled in the heart of Kampong Glam, The Secret Garden By Zeekri is a Muslim-owned restaurant that is bound to make you feel like the Eiffel Tower is just around the corner.

As soon as you arrive at the restaurant, you’ll find that it looks like a quaint brasserie you’ll find walking along the streets of Paris — the charming alfresco dining area completes the quintessential French vibe.

The restaurant serves up some pretty authentic French cuisine with all-day menu options like Baked Brie Cheese (S$22), Chicken Cordon Bleu (S$30), Striploin Steak (S$38) and more.

These are generally typical prices for cafés in Singapore, but here’s the kicker — weekday lunch sets at The Secret Garden start from just S$18++! Available from 11.30am to 2pm, these lunch sets are inclusive of a starter and a main course of your choice. You can also opt to top up another S$5++ to get a drink (an Americano or soft drink) and a pastry worth up to S$5.50.

The sets feature dishes like Asian Slaw with Smoked Duck, Poached Salmon and more — plus, there are also vegetarian-friendly options like Truffle Mushroom Soup and Pasta Primavera (pasta with zucchini and mushrooms).

If you can’t make it in time for lunch, there’s also a newly released weekday afternoon tea set that’s available from 2.30 to 4.30pm. To me, something about afternoon tea just screams luxurious (maybe because it helps me manifest my dream tai tai life).

The set is priced at S$48++ and serves about two to three — pretty affordable considering that it comes with a large assortment of IG-worthy sweet and savoury pastries (mini fruit tarts and ham-stuffed croissants, anyone?), plus their specialty Blooming Floral Tea
