The long-awaited June school holidays are here, and that means that there’ll be a bunch of new and fun events for us to explore with plenty of establishments offering a plethora of new activities.
While many of us might not be in school anymore (*sobs*), June still comes as a month of anticipation as it officially marks the beginning of the second half of the year (we’re halfway there to Christmas!).
\Wondering what’s there to do to make your weekends more exciting? Here are 10 new and fun things to do in Singapore this June!
1. Jurassic World Dominion-Themed Staycation
The first film from the Jurassic franchise came out in 1993 (that’s 29 years ago!) – and the franchise’s final film, Jurassic World Dominion comes out on 8 June. Though it’s no Isla Nublar, you can bid one last bittersweet farewell to your favourite dinosaurs on a Jurassic World Dominion-themed staycation at Resorts World Sentosa’s Hard Rock Hotel.
Not only do you get complimentary Golden Village tickets to watch the final film, but the rooms will be exclusively decorated with a Jurassic theme, and you’ll also get an exclusive goodie bag filled with merchandise and free breakfast. What better way to end this epic era?
PS: UOB cardmembers can enjoy $100 off when you use the code ‘JURASSICSTAYWUOB’!
Outdoor festivals are making a comeback, and we couldn’t be more stoked. Bask in the good vibes at GastroBeats 2022 – a lifestyle festival that encompasses everything you love from yummy bites and booze to live music and even an inflatable playground by Kiztopia.
You can also get 10% off ticket prices when you use your Visa card to make a purchase on Klook! Simply apply the promo code <GBVISA10> and check out with your card!
3. Cinewav Movies in the Sky
How about a spectacular outdoor rooftop cinema experience at 56-storeys high? Here’s where you can choose from a specially curated selection of movies and enjoy an unusual cinematic experience accompanied by the glittering city views under the stars.
At Cinewav Movies in the Sky, you can enjoy a variety of silver screen hits like Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Spider-man: No Way Home, Jimami Tofu, The Fault In Our Stars and more at the Marina Bay Sands Skypark Observations Deck.
Cosy up on recliner floor sofas and settle in for your movie with screenings from 9 June to 2 July every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8.30pm. Awesome movies, a lovely breeze, and the immaculate skyline of downtown Singapore. You’ll truly feel like you’re the main character of a movie.
4. Lightwave: Isle of Light powered by OPPO
If you haven’t heard, iLight Singapore is finally back this year, and this June, the Lightwave: Isle of Light powered by OPPO experience will take light show experiences to the next level.

5. Children’s Festival Featuring Around The World with Kiztopia
Here’s one for the kiddos and the young at heart – the Children’s Festival Featuring Around The World at Kiztopia. Here, you can travel around the world all in the comfort of our very own Gardens By The Bay.
With hot air balloons, activity booklets to be completed as well as giant inflatable displays, there’s lots to discover at this whimsical event.
For the athletic youngins, there’s also Tiger’s Sports Arena featuring a plethora of sports carnival games.
6. Resorts World Cruises
Setting sail on 15 June this year, Resorts World Cruises is a new cruise to help satisfy your wanderlust and take you away on a break from the humdrum of daily life. Climb aboard and enjoy your days sailing over the seas with plenty of fun experiences to be had on the cruise.
From the spacious suites, luxurious facilities and European-style butlers, to sumptuous Asian cuisine and 24-hour snack corner, you won’t have to worry about where you’ll sleep or what you’ll be eating.
For entertainment, there’s a waterslide park with six different waterslides, a rope course and 35-metre zipline, rock climbing, golf, and Zodiac Theatre with live production shows.
Those who want to indulge with drinks in hand will appreciate Bar City with its world-renowned vintages and other drinks amidst live band performances – as well as Resorts World Club with its foam parties, movie screenings and more.

With state-of-the-art facilities coupled with glistening waters and the salty sea breeze, there couldn’t be a more relaxing way to kick off the second half of the year!
7. Jewel Heist Game Tour
“It’s a lot of fun if you enjoy puzzles!”
Here’s something a little out-of-the-ordinary to try if you’re bored of the usual things to do. Join a Jewel Heist Game Tour and work as a team (4-6 people) solving fun puzzles and stimulating challenges.
You’ll be led by the mastermind of the operation (who also doubles as the guide and gamemaster) as you move through your missions at Jewel Changi. Utilising your wit, listening and observational skills as well as teamwork and strategy, immerse yourself in the game and earn the highest score.
PS: There’s a family bundle available with up to two kids able to go for free with two paying adults! And only in June there’s a Joy of Family Bundle available at S$200 for two adults and two kids too.
8. HeadRock VR
Ever been to the largest VR Theme Park in Singapore? Head over to HeadRock VR in Sentosa where you’ll find eight cool thematic VR attractions to explore. It’s a little like Legends of Tomorrow where you’ll find yourself transported to different places and time periods – and get to go on adventures such as firing at hordes of zombies or rafting across strong currents.
There are a variety of fun interactive games like Storm Blizzard, Beat Saber, along with a new Kids Media Interactive Zone, a futuristic playground suitable for families with young children from 3-9 years old. And if you’re keen, there’s a Hello My Dino! package where you can enjoy 30% off on Klook!
Get up to no good at this indoor playground suspended six levels above ground with its zero gravity feels. Dive into the ball pit or zip down the tall slides, there are themed zones, unique games and a 3D maze perfect for a fun day of adventure.
No worries too, it’s safe and secure with strong nets capable of supporting the weight of two buses, along with well-trained staff to assist with whatever you might need.
PS: If you’re planning to visit in a group of five, enjoy S$10 off when you book the group of 5 bundle on Klook!
10. Sentosa Skyline Luge & Skyride
“Part-go kart, part-toboggan, a trip to Skyline Luge will have you racing down a purpose-built track with the wind in your hair and the thrill of gravity’s pull.“
I will never get bored of the skyline luge and skyride in Sentosa. From taking the skyride up and enjoying bird’s eye views of Sentosa island to the thrill of racing friends and family down the 1.2-metre track on a three-wheel sled (and coming up first!) – you’ll never regret a visit to Sentosa’s Skyline Luge & Skyride.
Choose between four tracks, Kuppu Kuppu Trail, Expedition Trail, Jungle Trail and Dragon Trail, and whizz down the track as you manoeuvre your sled by pulling or pushing the handlebars to brake or accelerate. It definitely sounds like a fun weekend in the making!
If you’re bringing kids below six years old and sharing a luge cart with them, don’t forget to take advantage of the Free Child Doubling package on Klook too!
