The viral Kichi Kichi Omurice from Kyoto, Japan, is coming to Singapore’s Tsukimi Hamburg this July 2025, so mark your calendars for the show of your lifetime.
For the first time, Tsukimi Hamburg is collaborating with famed Chef Motokichi Yukimura for a permanent menu. From 10 July onwards, look out for menu items that marry Kichi Kichi’s iconic omurice and Tsukimi Hamburg’s hamburg steak.
Chef Motokichi Yukimura is the famous chef behind Kichi Kichi Omurice in Kyoto. For years, he has garnered the love of customers and online lookers through his theatrical and artful take on the humble Japanese-Western fusion dish, omurice.
Not ringing any bells? You may have seen videos of the chef’s signature red beret and infectious energy as he slices open a delicately cooked omelette over a bed of fried rice.
The Kichi Kichi Hamburg Omurice (S$16.80) features a spiral “tornado” omelette on top of a hamburg steak, complete with the beloved Kichi Kichi demiglace sauce and fried rice.
Or, stay authentic with the Kichi Kichi Omurice (S$12.80), with all of the above goodness except the hamburg steak.

While I’ve never tried the iconic Kichi Kichi omurice, I’m certainly intrigued by the viral videos and may just have to try the new menu items at Tsukimi Hamburg.
