Fans of the popular (working title) Burger Bar along North Bridge Road will be disheartened to know that it’ll be closing for good on 30 July.
Originally meant as a one-year pop-up along 783 North Bridge Rd, the biz evolved into a “four-year burger-making expedition”, as shared by the halal burger bar in an Instagram post. Remember its humble old digs at Arab Street? Time flies.
Thankfully, you’ll still be able to get one (final, but hopefully not for good) taste of the burger bar’s well-loved burgers, given that they’re currently running several closing promotions.
For the rest of the month, you’ll be able to enjoy 1-for-1 on a timeless classic — The Classic (S$15 without fries, S$17 with fries), comprising a juicy Angus patty, smoked cheddar, charred onion, tomato chilli jam, dill pickles, and special sauce on soft, pillowy buns.
It’s hard to go wrong with this iconic menu item, but you can always go for other popular options, like the Baconator (S$20 without fries, S$22 with fries), dressed with beef bacon and truffle aioli, or the Bun Jovi (S$17 without fries, S$19 with fries), a garlic lover’s dream.
Speaking of fries (the perfect pairing to any burger), they’ll be flowing freely until 30 July, so get ready to feast.
We highly recommend ordering a creamy Milkshake (to dip ’em in, if you’re the sort), available in delectable flavours like Kokomo (dark chocolate and smoked salt, S$12) and Bananarama (banana and palm sugar, S$12).
It’s been a good run for the team, so why not show them some support by swinging by for 1-for-1 Classic burgers and free-flow fries before July comes to an end?
After all, you can still visit (working title) Riverside for hearty Aussie-style brunches and, yes, burgers, so don’t fret too much!
