Easter eggs aren’t the only things that have hatched this April, the celebration for River Wonders’ 100-day old capybara pup has too!
From 3 April 2026 to 3 May 2026, the month-long festivities feature a curated trail, themed photo points, lively enrichment activities, and keeper talks—helping you learn about the world’s largest rodent, while making memories along the way.
Capy Crew Trail
Explore the different capybara enclosures through River Wonders’ dedicated Capy Crew Trail. Pick up a Capy Fan Card, and discover fun facts at each checkpoint. Upon completing the entire trail, and stand to redeem a limited-edition capy handphone strap, and a refreshing Ribena slushie at Little Chimi’s at the end of the trail.
Happening on specific dates across April, find out which day to visit the reserve to participate in the Capy Crew Trail here. From 9.30am to 5pm, collect your Capy Trail Fan Card at the entrance of River Wonders, and tick those checkpoints.
Capys in Action
At Amazonia Encounters, watch how the capybara family will enjoy specially crafted items such as an ice cake and woven fire hose reels filled with treats, while keepers share insights into the animals’ unique behaviours and how they are cared for.
Happening at 2.30pm every Thursday and Sunday from 2 April 2026 to 30 April 2026, and every Tuesday and Saturday from 4 April 2026 to 28 April 2026; catch the chance to watch these sociable personalities up close!
Strike a Pose with the Chillest Crew
Whilst walking from checkpoint to checkpoint, capture moments of the journey at various themed photo points around the park.
With photo points spanning the Panda Courtyard, Boat Plaza & Viewing Deck after the Amazon River Quest Exit, strike your best pose with the capys! Be sure to also share your memories @mandaiwildlifereserve and tag #RWCapyCrew #RiverWonders.
These photo points will accompany your visit to the reserve from 3 April 2026 to 3 May 2026, from 9am–6pm daily.
Meet the Capy Stars
Spot other members of the Capy Crew during the Once Upon a River presentation, and along the Amazon River Quest boat ride. As they showcase their amazing talents, don’t miss your chance to meet the stars of the river and snap a photo with them.
Admire the adorable capybaras up close at the Once Upon A River presentation at 11.30am, 2.30pm, and 4.30pm daily, do book your seats to each presentation 2 hours before each show.
Win the Ultimate Capybara Experience
To add some friendly competition, you can also participate in River Wonders’ social media contest by posting a photo or video of any of the capybaras in their cutest, quirkiest moment, and sharing the name of your favourite.
