There are plenty of reasons why we love travelling to Johor Bahru. Whether it’s to go cafe-hopping at the numerous IG-worthy cafes around, enjoy some local food, go for massages, sing karaoke, get a car wash or even a manicure – there’s much we relish about our trips over the causeway.

If you’re planning a visit to Johor Bahru soon, you’ll be glad to hear that Causeway Link is going to launch the first 24-hour cross-border bus service between Singapore and Johor Bahru.

From 1st August onwards, Causeway Link’s existing CW2 cross-border bus service, which runs between Singapore’s Queen Street Terminal and Johor Bahru, will start running 24/7 — so you won’t have to own a car or fork out the money for a private taxi to cross the border late at night.

Plus, good news for those who like to take impromptu trips to Johor Bahru for supper: you’ll no longer need to worry about last bus timings!

And when it comes to taking a trip, there’s nothing like hours of queueing and squeezing into packed buses to ruin the mood. But with the introduction of this 24/7 bus service, you’ll have even more flexibility to avoid peak hour traffic when planning your trip.

Currently, the CW2 bus service starts at 6.30am at Queen Street Terminal, and the last bus leaves at 11.30pm. From the Johor Bahru checkpoint, you’ll be able to catch a bus from 4am to 10.30pm.

From 1st August, buses between 12am to 4am daily will be considered part of the midnight service, and buses will arrive approximately every 45 minutes, though this may be subject to traffic conditions. The price remains the same as the regular service, with a trip to Johor Bahru costing S$4.80, and a trip back costing S$1.50 (RM4.80). Payment can be made through ManjaLink, Visa card, and cash.
