There is no shortage of ice cream parlours and dessert shops in sunny Singapore — we all need some respite from the heat from time to time, after all.
If you need a sweet spot to cool down and satisfy your cravings, Desert Dessert, a not-so-hidden gem in Ang Mo Kio, might become your new favourite hangout.
Conveniently located a five-minute walk away from Mayflower MRT station, Desert Dessert dishes out coffee and desserts like bingsu, croffles, and of course, ice cream and waffles.
For obvious reasons, the signature handcrafted ice cream is what you should come for.
Classic flavours are priced at S$4 for a single scoop with an additional S$3.50 for a double scoop, while premium flavours are priced at S$5 for a single scoop with an additional S$4.50 for a double scoop.
There are 16 flavours of ice cream available on any given day, including the likes of triple chocolate, yam, grape yakult, pistachio, and sea salt.
Regardless of which flavour you choose, it’s always ideal to enjoy your ice cream atop a freshly made Belgian (S$5.50) or Chocolate Waffle (S$6.50).
Desert Dessert is also one of the few ice cream shops that sell Korean-style bingsu. Prices start from S$7.50, with options varying from Mixed Fruit and Brownie and Banana to the unique (yet extremely popular) Mango Cheese.
You can even get your hands on a Croffle (from S$5.50), the croissant-waffle hybrid popular in Korea and Thailand, in flavours like Blueberry Cream Cheese, Tiramisu, and even savoury Chicken Floss and Garlic Cream Cheese.
Feel free to add on a scoop of ice cream for S$3.50 (classic) or S$4.50 (premium).
The cafe opens till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can drop by for your late-night dessert fix then!
