Photo booths are all the rave lately — and we’re not talking about the ones that let you take your passport photos. We’re talking about the popular Korean-inspired self-photo booths. Joining the hype is Jewel Changi Airport’s Disney 100’s three new limited-edition Disney-themed photo booths which will be available for a limited time only!
Located at Basement 1 of Jewel, the photo booths are part of the Disney 100 pop-up event. The booths sport three different themes — Marvel, Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey Mouse — and can fit up to 10 people, perfect for your whole squad to take a group picture.
You can use the booth after exchanging for the special tokens at the nearby machine. Alternatively, you can pay via Visa, Mastercard, or Apple Pay directly inside the booth. Each session costs just S$4 and you’ll get two photo strips, essentially S$2 per strip — super value for money if you ask me!
While the physical strips make for a great keepsake especially with the adorable Disney characters on them, you can also download the digital copies via the QR code generated at the booth. This is such a brilliant move especially since everyone is probably gonna want to post the pics on IG anyway.
Photo booths are so much fun because you get to customise the pictures and put cute stickers on each strip. Thankfully, the same rules apply here. Each photo booth offers eight different designs for you to choose from. You’ll also get to play around with various beauty filters.
To ensure that you get the perfect picture, the camera inside the booths can also be adjusted to your preferred height and angle — no more having to tip-toe or stand at awkward angles! That said, each strip only fits four pictures and you’ll get three takes each time and there’s a timer, so we suggest rehearsing your poses beforehand to avoid the chaos!
At the end of the photoshoot, you’ll get to pick your best shots along with your preferred frame. Each booth offers a different mix of designs, so if you’re looking to collect them all (and have plenty of time to spare), you can go ahead and try all three booths.
Unfortunately, these disney-themed photo booths aren’t a permanent fixture at Jewel and will only be available for a limited time. So, you better jio all your friends and head down to Changi now before they are all gone! While you’re there, you can check out the Disney 100 exhibition and pick up some cute Disney merch too.
