Satisfy your Labubu obsession at the world’s first Labubu cafe in Surabaya that’s designed after a traditional Korean hanok-style bakery

Somehow a character with serrated teeth and devilish looking eyes has taken the world by storm. I’m talking about none other than Labubu, the figurine created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung.

Whether it’s her sweet yet clumsy nature or the fact that Lisa of BLACKPINK was spotted holding her, Labubu has quickly become one of the most beloved characters in POP MART.

Her popularity is so unmatched that she now boasts her very own cafe. DROOL Bakery in Surabaya has taken the initiative to host the world’s first-ever Labubu cafe, and it should come as no surprise that they’re enjoying all the attention on social media.

To be honest, DROOL Bakery is a stunning cafe in their own right, so I’m sure they’ve a dedicated following of their own. That’s because the bakery is designed after a traditional Korean hanok-style cafe — featuring wooden beams, curved roofs, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a courtyard.

With their stunning interior, it’s no wonder you’ll spot people snapping photos left and right (trust me, you’ll probably find yourself doing the same!).

Well, looks like more people will be taking photos as they now have Labubu figurines displayed in their space. You’ll find Labubu staring at you as you take your pick of baked goods and sweet treats.

I believe their selection of offerings changes seasonally but some options that caught my eye are the Raspberry Pistachio Kouign-amann (40,000 IDR / S$3.39), Coffee Caramel Danish (30,000 IDR / S$2.55), and Sausage Roll (35,000 IDR / S$2.97).

The drinks are even more unique, with creations like Cola Bon-Bon (from 42,000 IDR / S$3.56) and Korean Orange Juice (53,000 IDR / S$4.50). The latter even comes with an actual orange on top, so you may want to get your cameras out for this!

Other drinks include Matcha Peacha (from 46,000 IDR / S$3.90), Zeppi’s Creamy Coffee (from 46,000 IDR / S$3.90), and Pistachio Latte (50,000 IDR / S$4.24).

Even though DROOL Bakery might not stock Labubu merchandise in-store, it’s still a must-visit — just to have this adorable character join you on your cafe-hopping adventure.

When’s your next trip to Surabaya for a dose of Labubu?
