I know the trend of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ has died down but it’s still on my bucket list to try and experience the lifestyle of a taitai at least once, ya know? Well, I don’t have to look any further because this Hermes-themed cafe might just be my closest shot to trying it.
The handbag shop Éclaire Atelier has collaborated with Savoir cafe to bring an elevated dining experience boasting an all-day brunch menu and unique French pastries completed with Hermes tableware.
Bread and butter lovers should opt for the La Savoir Butter Board (S$18), which is perfect for sharing and acts as a little appetiser before digging into the main course. It comes with the chef’s trio bread selection and three styles of freshly made butter. The visuals are absolutely drool-worthy.
They have a solid western-styled menu, ranging from American Breakfast (S$28) and Braised Angus Beef Cheek (S$35) to Smoked Duck Pasta (S$32). The kicker is that you also get an added spoon of boujee-ness by dining with Hermes tableware. Fancy, huh?
Before you take a seat, (or after, if you prefer) you can check out their wide selection of Hermes collections located on the left of the space. Otherwise, you could just head straight to the dining area to enjoy the food and try out the life of a taitai.
Still feeling peckish after? Not to worry, they also offer a special selection of desserts such as Matcha Pandan Waffle (S$17), Panna Cotta (S$16), and Crepes Suzetta (S$16). Psst, I’ll let you in on a tip: Be ready to whip out your phone to capture the dishes which are perfect to post on Instagram!
One dessert that particularly stands out to me would be the Matcha Pandan Waffle (S$17). As a true blue Singaporean, I have an obsession with Pandan and with the addition of caramelised gula melaka and matcha sauce drizzled all over, and with a scoop of creamy ice cream, it would be hard to imagine the dish going wrong.
Be sure to wash down all of the food with their plethora of drinks, such as Matcha Tiramisu Iced Latte (S$12), Lychee Oatmilk Latte (S$9.50), and Affogato (S$9.50).
Their Matcha Tiramisu Iced Latte (S$12) just sounds so indulgent and sinful. Just imagine the rich layer of the tiramisu coming together with the earthy flavour of matcha. Doesn’t it sound downright mouthwatering?
If this isn’t your cup of coffee (see what I did there?), they also have your classics, such as Espresso (S$5.50), Latte (S$7), and Americano (S$6).
Will this cafe at 313@Somerset be next on your list to check out?
