Disney Adventure Cruise is finally coming to Singapore in December 2025, featuring 7 themed areas, water slides, meet and greets with Disney characters and many more

While the happiest place on earth has yet to descend on our shores, Singapore will be getting the next best thing in 2025 — Disney Adventure Cruise, and it’s all thanks to a collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board.

I’ll gladly take it, thank you, as this will mark the first time a Disney Cruise will establish its homeport in Asia. The 208,000-gross-ton ship will be docked at Marina Bay Cruise Centre for a minimum of five years and will be offering three or four-night voyages.

If you can snag tickets, you’ll be one of the lucky 6,700 passengers who can experience the Disney magic out at sea, while being attended to by 2,500 crew members.

Guests onboard have seven immersive themed areas to look forward to, all of which I’m sure will bring out the inner child of even the most emotionless of adults.

The Disney Imagination Garden is literally the beating heart of Disney Adventure Cruise — an outdoor space featuring a garden, an enchanted valley and an open-air theatre. Here, you’ll be accompanied by a myriad of Disney characters flying around you as you take in the lush greenery.

But what’s an ocean getaway without getting in the water, am I right? Don on your swimsuits and head over to Toy Story Place, where you can splash around the water play areas and slides. As you dine at one of the themed food venues in the area, Toy Story movies and shorts will be playing in the background.

For something more relaxing, Wayfinder Bay is a poolside perfect for luxuriating under the sun. The place is decorated in the style of the hit movie, Moana, so you’ll feel like you’re in the Pacific Islands.

If you’re planning to do some shopping or dining, the Town Square and Disney Recovery Reef are where you should go.

The former is home to a range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while Disney princesses like Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel roam the streets.

The latter, on the other hand, lets you unwind in an other-worldly underwater environment with famous nautical characters from movies like The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo.

Other themed areas include San Fransokyo Street, a vibrant market filled with all sorts of entertainment activities like games and cinemas, and Marvel Landing, where Marvel diehards can embark on Avengers-level adventures with their favourite superheroes.

Parents and grown-ups, I totally understand that you’ll want to get away from the noise every once in a while. Luckily, you can make your escape to the adult-only areas (18+) on the ship, such as fine dining venues, nightclubs and lounges with live music, karaoke and variety shows.

Or, you can take a dip in the Quiet Cove Pool, which comes complete with whirlpool spas and a poolside bar (this is where I’ll be).

Of course, don’t worry, your little ones will be well taken care of by the specially trained counsellors at the Disney-themed kid’s clubs. There are multiple clubs catering to different age groups, providing age-specific activities to keep them satisfied.

Who knows? They might have so much fun they won’t even know you’re gone.

Similar to their land counterparts, Disney Adventure Cruise will also present Meet and Greet sessions, alongside a wide variety of shows and entertainment.

Since it’s Disney we’re talking about, expect nothing less than Broadway-calibre musicals being played. Disney movies and live music performances will be shown throughout the ship too.

You’ll end off your night with world-class fireworks lighting up your night sky.

Disney Adventure Cruise’s maiden voyage will set sail on 15 December 2025, with prices being revealed on 14 November 2024. As such, mark your calendars and keep your eyes peeled for more information.

Though it’s safe to assume that room rates won’t come cheap.
