Haw Par Villa is home to the 10 courts of hell. This Halloween, the iconic cultural destination transforms into a spine chilling haunting ground for the Haw-Ror Villa 2. This year’s edition of the Haw-Ror Villa will feature an exciting line-up of activities like tarot reading, art jamming, a booth market and more!
It’s not everyday that you get to visit Haw Par Villa after dark. If you’ve ever wanted to explore the 10 courts of hell at night, now’s your chance. On 28 and 29 October 2023, from 7pm to 9pm, you’ll get to explore the Hell’s Museum in a whole new light (or lack thereof).
If you thought exploring the courts of hell in the day felt creepy, imagine what it will feel like at night in pitch darkness with all the statues staring right at you.
Apart from giving you a haunting experience, the park will be adorned in ambient light and projections to create a vibrant mythical background for you to pose for pics at. However, be careful of the pics you take here, for you never know who (or what) may randomly appear in your pictures. Early bird tickets are now available and selling out fast, so grab here now!
For something less spooky, Haw Par Villa is also having a Shaman’s Market on 28 and 29 October 2023. The market will be located at The Sixth Milestone in Haw Par Villa and will feature a variety of items from themed cake pops to ceramics, crystals and even jewellery. Admission to the market is free, so make sure to stop by for a little shopping spree!
Apart from getting the chills and doing some light shopping, you can also unleash your inner Van Gogh and take part in the Mosaic Art Jamming Workshop. Let your creativity run wild here as you customise your own tile or bisque — it is Halloween-themed after all so aesthetics isn’t a priority.
You can also go for a little tarot reading to see what the spirits of Haw Par Villa are trying to tell you. If you’ve always wanted to go for a tarot reading but never had the chance to, fret not as the opportunity has finally presented itself to you.
Pro tip: go with an open mind so that you won’t be too bothered by what is said and come prepared with specific questions you want answered like “will I meet the one?”
This year, Haw Par Villa will also be hosting a special Halloween-themed puzzle hunt — yes, there’s more to Halloween than just ghosts and scary tales. The Ransack: Haw Par Villa Halloween Special adventure begins at the Shaman market and as you venture in and around the park, you’ll unearth hidden tales and confront spine-tingling challenges.
The game is a great bonding game with your kids or even your friends. Time to see who’s the wittiest of them all as you find clues to solve the puzzle.
Of course, the party has to go out with a bang and Secret Sunrise Singapore has the perfect activity for you to end your halloween season on a high. The Secret Sunset Full Moon Halloween is a uniquely themed silent disco dance party taking place at Haw Par Villa Former Villa.
I don’t know about you but the silent disco party has got me intrigued already. Imagine a group of people dancing with headphones on against the golden sunset rays — what a sight indeed.
