Ahh Halloween —- for some it’s the most exciting time of the year. For others, excitement might not be the right word to describe how they feel.
Whichever camp you’re on, Halloween 2023 is about to be upon us and if you haven’t already made plans to go trick-or-treating or a costume party, here are 13 Halloween events worth checking out for a scarily good time!
1. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 11
This year, the grounds of Universal Studios Singapore transforms into Hyosan High School where bloodthirsty zombies roam around for fresh blood. If you manage to keep your eyes open, you’ll be able to spot some of the iconic scenes for the series including the super intense classroom right scene which had me gasping for life.
HHN 11 will also feature five spine-chilling haunted houses, scare zones and so much more — and yes , they are really scary. There is also the collaboration with The Weeknd which features five new rooms inspired by his album Dawn FM. The Weeknd: After hours Til Dawn Nightmare will send you winding through corridors, as you make your escape from the actor-singer’s purgatory of pain.

2. USS Trick or Thrills
If you’re not brave enough for the nightmarish nighttime ghosts and ghouls, maybe USS’ daytime halloween attraction is much more suited for you. USS Trick or Thrills is a family-friendly version of Halloween with your favourite characters like the Minions, Oscar the Grouch, Dracula, Bumblebee and Megatron, and many more all dressed in their funky halloween costumes.
That’s not all. There will also be live performances from The Candy Crooks and The Lolly Bandits who will be battling it out for sweet treats. Plus, you can indulge in some special halloween sweet treats all over the park. Time to get a sugar rush!

3. Halloween Night Luge: Revenge of Miriam
If you’ve ever taken the luge, you know just how thrilling it is — and that’s just in the day. Now imagine riding down the track in the dark with ghosts and ghouls lurking in the shrubs waiting to attack. This year, Skyline Luge has teamed up with True Horror Stories POV to deliver an unforgettable, hair raising night of terror. And if you’ve ever seen the content by these guys, you know you’re really in for a wild ride .
The theme for this year’s Halloween Night Luge is Revenge of Miriam. Who is Mariam? What happened to her? And why does she want revenge? We’ll let you figure that out on your own — don’t wanna spoil the fun. Pro tip: if you smell something sweet or if you hear someone calling out to you, maybe don’t turn back.

4. Singapore Discovery Centre: Harrowing Halloween 3
If you love a good scare but are not brave enough to walk through the scare zones and haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights, then Singapore Discovery Centre’s Harrowing Halloween 3 might be the place for you.
This year’s Harrowing Halloween centres around a school — remember when you used to spread rumours about how your school is haunted? Well, now you can finally experience what being in a haunted school feels like.

5. Orchard Gateway X TheBluePocket: Gateway to Hell
This halloween, Orchard Gateway is haunted by the demonic spirit of a schoolgirl from the 1960s. The demonic girl has travelled through time and space, creating havoc everywhere she goes.
This is where you come in. The girl seeks out five vulnerable souls from her own realm before she unleashes pandemonium upon our world. Your role is to face your darkest fears and stop the girl in her path to wreaking havoc in our mortal world. The future of our world is at stake and do you think you would be brave enough to win this fight against the terrifying demon?

6. The Curse – A Haunted Golf Adventure at Kulnari Mystery Golf
Kulnari Mystery Golf takes your regular haunted house mystery up a level by incorporating a fun game of miniature golf into the mix. If you thought mini golf was hard before, wait till you try this game.
In this haunted house concept, you’ll be transported back in time to the 1920s where you’ll be venturing through haunted pastures and forced to confront some chilling supernatural entities. 8. Walk with Hantu: Old Changi Tour
It’s always nice to take a leisure evening stroll with your significant other to unwind after a long day’s work. If you love taking leisurely late night walks, you should definitely sign up for this Walk with Hantu Tour this halloween — just to spice things up.

On Halloween, nowhere is safe — not even Peace Centre. Fun fact: did you know that Peace Centre has a couple of dark tales of their own? Come Halloween evening, ominous vibes loom in Peace Centre level 4 as the entire level transforms into a landmark horror experience.
This year’s Rest.In.Peace Centre horror experience is titled “Wandering Spirit” and you will find yourself wandering through the terrifying realms of Asian horror. But while you might lose your voice (and your sanity), you can still stand a chance to win some pretty cool prizes. Simply look out for the secret codes hidden around the space and scan them to unlock your prize.
