Live out your magical dream at this Chinese-styled teahouse in Singapore which serves your tea and bites down a water stream

by Cheryl Lim

If you haven’t had the magical experience of sipping tea by a literal river on a table, don’t worry because your chance has officially arrived.

Welcome to Incloud, a dreamy, Chinese-style teahouse that just dropped anchor in Singapore, and trust us, it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before.

At first glance, Incloud looks straight out of a fantasy film set. It’s straight-up misty vibes with elegant Chinese aesthetics. And the centre of attention is a “water table” featuring a real flowing stream running through it. By the way, there’s also smoke swirling around for that added mysterious air.

There are also floating faux flowers in the stream (fairy garden core, to be honest). And, hear this. There are also wooden plates for added theatrics where you can place your tea cups, pastries, and snacks.

You can even float it down the river (lowkey good as a flirting trick).

Unfortunately, there’s only one water table in the cafe.

So unless you channel your inner kiasu spirit and get there early, you might miss out on the seats. But no worries: the rest of the space is just as tranquil. Choose from floor seating or cosy booths, all exuding zen vibes.

As a teahouse inspired by traditional Chinese tea culture, Incloud serves tea sets from S$28. Expect beautifully brewed concoctions featuring ingredients like licorice root, poria, white peony root, and more.

For a comforting choice, check out the Roasted Milk Tea (S$28), served in a clay teapot to keep it nice and warm.

Or, go for the Trio Tea Set (S$68) with three drinks served in one set: one classic brew, one fruit-infused, and one lightly carbonated.

Every tea set also comes with a surprise assortment of snacks — from flower-shaped pastries to nuts like pistachios, hazelnuts, and walnuts. Pastry fillings vary from matcha to egg yolk to yam, so it’s like a mini snack roulette.

One small heads-up: the menu is currently only in Chinese, but they’re working on rolling out an English version soon (testing admin’s linguistic abilities to the max).

Oh, before you leave,  they also sell gorgeous tea sets. Absolutely perfect if you’re feeling inspired to host your mini-tea ceremony at home.
