Farm stay experiences are actually quite fun, especially for city dwellers like us or if you wanna expose your little ones to something new.
That said, it’s not something that can be easily found in Singapore — or so you think. Cue Kranji Sanctuary Resort!
Kranji is kinda like the country-side of Singapore, which makes perfect sense why Kranji Sanctuary Resort set up shop there. The resort offers a unique experience that is unlike your regular hotel staycay.
Nestled among lush greenery, the resort offers a tranquil environment that is a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life — something we could all appreciate once in a while.
The resort is also situated on a working farm — putting the “farm” in farmstay indeed. You can hop on a guided tour of the farm to learn about where we get our local produce from, and meet some cute farm animals along the way.
You can even explore the neighbouring farms like Hay Dairies Goat farm, Bollywood Veggies, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and more. If you’re not up for a little exploration, there are other activities on-site too like Prawning with rates starting from just S$9.99/hour or S$19.99 for three hours.
They even have karaoke available on the farm available from 3pm to 3am daily — how cool is that!
Prices-wise, it’s S$11.99 for one hour from 3pm to 7pm, and S$S$19.99 per hour from 7pm to 3am, on Mondays to Thursdays. On Fridays to Sundays, it’s S$19.99 per hour from 3pm to 3am.
While Kranji Sanctuary Resort offers a “farm stay” experience, don’t worry as you won’t have to rough it out. You’ll still be able to enjoy all the modern amenities as each room comes equipped with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi access and a mini bar.
There are four different rooms for you to choose from. The Standard Room and the Superior Room both come with a Queen-sized bed that is great for two adults and one kid. What sets the Superior Room apart is the additional private outdoor shower.
The Executive Room is much bigger and comes with one Queen-sized bed and one sofa bed. You’ll also get a private steam room and a private jacuzzi — now that’s very fancy. The room can accommodate up to four adults and one child.
If you’re bringing the whole family along, then the Family Room will be great for you. The room can accommodate up to six pax comfortably and comes with two Queen-sized beds, balcony with tables and chairs, private showers and more.
You can complete your farm stay experience by renting a BBQ pit with Kranji Sanctuary Resort’s BBQ Package. At just S$50, you’ll get a bag of 3kg charcoal, one wire mesh, fire starters and the BBQ pit (of course). There’s even a fully-stocked mini mart in case you get the late-night hunger pangs.
Rates from the rooms start from just S$160 per night, depending on the type of room you choose of course. Do note that check in is only at 2pm and check out is at 11am. However you can request for a late check out, subject to availability. Each room also has a free parking spot.
The resort is also pet-friendly, which means even the furry little one can come along for the fun! However you will need to make sure that you clean up after your furkid.
