Kumoya is going to have a BT21 and LINE FRIENDS pop-up with adorable themed Korean fusion dishes & TikTok-worthy vibrant decor

Cafes are nothing new on our sunny island — cosy neighbourhood cafes, idyllic waterfront ones, and one of the crowd favourites: animal cafes,  and the list goes on.

However, there’s one kind of cafe that many of us just wished that there was more of in Singapore — themed cafes. While other countries like Japan and South Korea see plenty of super kawaii themed cafes featuring Hello Kitty, Sailor Moon, One Piece and many other beloved characters popping up, it’s not really that common here.

Luckily, there’s still one saving grace for us. Located in Orchard Central, Kumoya is a specialty cafe that regularly brings in pop-ups featuring different themes and characters like Pompompurin, Rilakkuma and most recently, Cinnamoroll,  so that we can get our fair share of basking and dining in the cuteness too!

And from 21 October 2022 onwards, they’ll be bringing us the My Little Buddy Cafe, one of the cafe’s biggest partnerships featuring the popular BT21 and LINE FRIENDS characters. Here, you’ll be able to dine in a vibrant and totes adorbs setting decked out in decor inspired by the iconic characters.

For those who aren’t familiar with BT21, they’re a group of popular cartoon characters inspired (and designed) by the BTS members themselves. Each character represents one of the group members, and they’ve since taken the Hallyu world by storm with their cuteness (a walking heart wearing pyjamas, who can resist that?).

The new pop-up cafe will feature the BT21 characters — Chimmy, Tata, Shooky, Cooky, RJ, Koya, Mang and Van, as well as some iconic LINE FRIENDS characters like Brown (the bear), Sally (the duck) and more.
