In a Facebook post spotted on Singapore Atrium Sale on 13 April, you can exchange your old, chappy lipstick for a brand new one at only S$10. MAC is known as a prestigious cult-favourite and their lippies are usually retailed for about S$33~.
The promotion will end on 30 April, but we suggest heading down as soon as possible to snag up this rare deal. This may have gotten you excited, but do take note that the MAC lipstick promotion is only available at Metro Causeway Point, and there will be no refund or exchange of items. Only one exchange is allowed per customer.
MAC’s “going green” initiative
Since MAC is a giant in the beauty industry, this is just one of its initiatives to “go green” and reduce environmental impact via its packaging. Their eco-aligned mindset has propelled their product design to minimise packaging waste, while still delivering cosmetics of top-notch quality.
Makeup gurus would recognise their long-running “Back to Mac” program, where if you collect and return six empty MAC containers to any of the brand’s stores, you’d be entitled to a free lipstick of your choice.
With this campaign, the brand has prevented nearly a million pounds of material from ending up in landfills. However, this campaign has been put on hold and will undergo restructuring till further notice.
We may not be able to use lipsticks as often now but hey, you’ll never know if you just need those plump, kissable lips for a smashin’ hot date.
