In the event youāre ever in desperate need of Japanese fare, whatās the first thing that comes to mind?
Iām pretty sure weāre all familiar with Maki-San, the popular sushi restaurant that you can never go wrong with.
I canāt tell you how many times Iāve eaten it whilst schooling because of its student-friendly prices (some of youād most probably agree).

Thus, I bring exciting news that Maki-San has opened their first ever takeaway kiosk within Fairprice Xpress in Esso Toa Payoh.
I couldnāt believe this initially as Iām so used to only finding snacks like chips, cup noodles and the occasional puff pastries or cakes in petrol stations ā that is if weāre lucky.

That being said, this is an extremely convenient option, especially for the ones always on the road and looking for a quick bite.
The menu includes what youād find at their regular flagship outlets like the signature sushi rolls and rice bowls including Karaage Chicken Donburi (S$10.10) and Tempura Soft Shell Crab with Karaage Chicken Donburi (S$14.10).

With their very own live frying and grilling station, you can be safely assured that the food will mainly consist of freshly cooked fare ā best for picky eaters who are squeamish about raw fish.

Alternatively, DIY your own customisable Mega San Sushi (S$11.10) or Mega San Salad (S$11.10), which has over seventy fillings to choose from.
Iām all for variety when it comes to food so I was pleased to find that they have ebi tempura, crab stick, tuna mayo and so much more for a hearty meal.
Not to mention, theyāre offering new menu items like the Yakitori Sticks exclusively available at the Esso outlet only!

The next time you need to get a quick sushi fix for lunch or dinner, you know where to go.
Run (or should I say drive), donāt walk before the crowd starts packing in!
