This gourmet cinematic experience serves a seven-course meal with DIY dessert inspired by the film you’re watching

If you’ve seen videos on TikTok about Taste Film — an immersive dining film experience in London — then you would be familiar with what Nom Nom Cinema’s new exclusive pop-up event is offering!

Think of this one-of-a-kind dining extravaganza as an elevated date experience. It’s always “movies and dinner” but not “dining on custom dishes inspired by a film as you watch it” type of deal, you feel me?

This brand new concept is the first of its kind in Singapore hosted at Haus217, where guests will be treated to a seven-course meal alongside a showing of The Grand Budapest Hotel directed by Wes Anderson

If you’re wondering how it all works, don’t worry I gotchu

All you have to do is get comfortable, and your meals will be served at certain timestamps of the film correlating to scenes in the movie. I mean, the first course is basically an edible cigarette in reference to the scene at the beginning where the concierge is stashing away a cigarette in the hotel. How cool is that!

And the best part? You get to create your own Mendl dessert featured in the film so it’s time to get crafty with your very own Courtesan au Chocolat and engage in a deeper level of immersion with the film.

Whether you’re a cinephile, a gourmet, or simply seeking out a heightened experience,, you’ll get to dive into this unique dining film adventure from S$118 per person.

There is also an optional choice of topping up S$68 for a drinks pairing set inclusive of four drinks with cocktail, mocktail, and wine options.

If you do have dietary restrictions, fret not. Nom Nom Cinema has both a Standard menu and a Vegan one for those who are unable to consume meat, fish, or dairy.

Special dietary requests such as no pork or lard, nut-free, and gluten-free options are also available if you contact them one day ahead.

With all this hype, I wasn’t surprised to find out that the tickets for Nom Nom Cinema were fully booked for the month of November.

Luckily this limited-time event still has spots for December, so it would be best to get your tickets from Klook or their official website before they are fully sold out!

So if you’re looking for a sign to leave those mouse moments at home, where you’re browsing through the homepage of Netflix deciding what to watch alongside dinner, this is it.

This exclusive synergy of film and food serves as the perfect backdrop for a novel night out with curated and elevated experiences. Which date will you choose to go on?
