Running out of fun activities to do with your besties? This craft studio at Stamford Arts Centre has a craft buffet which we reckon would be total chaos among you and your best pals. Let your creativity run wild as you create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
The craft buffet is organised by the popular Beadbadwolf Studio at their newly renovated studio. If you need a little creative inspo to help you get started on your unique creation, just look around the studio as it is decked out in quirky items that will surely get your creative juices flowing.
Price-wise, the craft buffet costs S$39 per person and you’ll get to choose from seven different craft types like collage, latch hook, mosaic art, painting and more. Each session lasts three hours and you’ll have access to an unlimited supply of materials — it’s kinda like going for an all-you-can-eat buffet but instead of food, you get art supplies.
The session is largely self-guided too — which means you can really go all out and be as creative as you want. But of course, if you’re trying something new for the first time, don’t worry as there’ll be friendly instructors on-site to guide you along.
You can also mix and match materials to help make your craft work even more unique and special. For example, if you choose to do painting, you can customise your artwork with other materials like magazine cutouts, threads, or even glue bits of yarn onto your vase or canvas to make it even more one-of-a-kind.
If you’re into weaving — not stories in your head — but actual weaving of yarn, there’s plenty of options here for you to choose from. Just like how you weave creative scenarios about your ex in your head, you can go nuts and incorporate different colours of yarn into your craft work too!
The sky’s the limit at this craft buffet as you really get THE full creative liberty to create your own pride and joy here. If you choose mosaic art, you aren’t limited to making a tile. instead, you can tweak the clay to form anything you want — and we mean anything. Don’t worry, we won’t judge you, but maybe your friends might.
This workshop is great fun with friends, because you get to see just how creative your friends truly are. Do note that you’ll have to make a reservation before heading down, which can be done here. Also, you get to keep whatever you make during the session — maybe something to keep in mind when you’re making your masterpiece.
Once you’re done, don’t forget to snap pics by the super quirky yarn bathtub — yes you read that right — for pics with your final product! Remember that art is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder (if it makes you feel better).
Looking for something fun to do on your next meet up? Check out this craft buffet for some chaotic fun!
