Cue Winter: “Oh my gosh, don’t you know that Malaysia has opened their first official K-Pop album cafe?

Notes by YGM may not be right up in your area, but you can get your favs’ official signed albums, exclusive photocards and more now at Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur.

Well, how “official” are we talking about? We’re talking about album sales at Notes by YGM being counted into the first week of Hanteo and Circle Chart, exclusive Malaysia-only photocards, merchandise, and possibilities of physical fansigns with your idols, fancalls and more events if there is enough demand from fans.

Notes by YGM has just begun operations on 17th October 2023, so you can expect more of these features to be rolled out in the future. Though, you’ll have to first show your support by visiting the store!

This cafe is literally a hidden gem, as it is tucked away within Dadi Cinema, where you’ll have to take the escalator up from Level 5 to Level 6. If you ever meet a ticket checker, just tell them you’re there for the store and they’ll let you pass with no questions asked. You’ll be able to spot the store decked out in bright neon lights right away on your left.

As a K-Pop store, it’s of course all about that pop colour aesthetic. Bright colours are splashed across the walls and floors, complete with cosy bean bags, couches, and high tables for you to lounge about and relax as you bop along to the latest hits.

Lining the walls are shelves of albums from groups such as BTS, NCT, Seventeen, ITZY, (G)I-DLE, NewJeans and more. Other than full albums, they have debut solo albums, single, mini and studio albums, together with photobook and repackaged versions as well.

If you’re lucky, you can find signed versions as well. Needless to say, Notes by YGM probably has all the albums from your favourite groups in stock there.

You’ll soon be able to shop for official merch like lightsticks, concert merch, birthday MDs and more as well.

Notes by YGM also encourages fans to hold events within the store, so you may hear news of cupsleeve events taking place as well. It’s in line with the Korean cafe that is slated to open in end 2023 right beside the album lounge.

Just so you know, if there is enough demand from enthusiastic fans, Notes by YGM may even consider holding online birthday events with your oppas and unnies!

You should keep an eye on their socials as they periodically roll out special deals, events, and giveaways such as listening parties and a lucky draw to win free albums or exclusive photocards.
