The K-POP craze is truly next level, so much so that even fast food chains like McDonald’s have joined the bandwagon. Think: McDonald’s X BTS collaboration.
If you love McDonald’s as much as I do, and you’re a huge fan of KPOP, well you might wanna brace yourselves for McDonald’s Singapore’s latest and biggest collaboration.
Hint: I’m super shy, super shy but wait a minute while I make you mine make you mine.
That’s right, McDonald’s Singapore is finally launching the highly anticipated McDonald’s X NewJeans collaboration. The collaboration will be available from 2 November 2023 onwards and will feature a new sweet and spicy Korean-style McCrispy.
In true Korean fashion, of course the collaboration has to be inspired by the iconic saucy Korean fried chicken. The K-Sweet & Spicy McCrispy will set you back S$7.05 a la carte, and from S$9.25 for an extra value meal with drink and a side of crisscut fries — that’s right, the popular crisscut fries are making a comeback!
That’s not all, the special collaboration will also feature a Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Frappe (from S$1.20), but with no whipped cream unfortunately.
Much like the previous McDonald’s X BTS collaboration which came with special packaging, the NewJeans collab will also have its own limited-edition packaging which will feature cute Bunni motifs, along with cutesy McDonald’s fries and the iconic M logo.
Judging by how some people managed to turn the BTS packaging into fashion accessories, we’re excited to see how fans will make use of these cute packaging.
That’s not all for the special collaboration. There’s also a dance challenge where you’ll get to win McDonald’s X NewJeans special gift.
The special gift set includes limited-edition merch like a NewJeans photo book, specially designed NewJeans stickers, fries shaped keyring, decorative washi tape, and more — Oh my oh my god indeed.
The dance is called the “Chicken Dance” and no it is not the same chicken dance you learned as a kid. This dance is far more complicated but still pretty simple to learn — Don’t need to be super shy, just show your love for NewJeans! As the girls would say you don’t have anything to lose — Ditto to that!
