The bigger the price tag, the more I eat — the reason why I tend to leave buffets feeling uncomfortably full. After all, we visit all-you-can-eat restaurants with the intention to get the most bang for our buck, don’t we? If you can relate, you’ll absolutely love this affordable buffet from Overeat.
Conveniently located at Marina One, this restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat experience for just S$18.80++ for lunch, and S$33.80++ for dinner.
Yes, you heard right! Despite its affordability, the spread includes a large variety of food.
What’s a buffet without indulging in seafood? Load up on sashimi (sliced right in front of you!) and sushi — think unagi, mentaiko salmon and more.
If you’re heading down for dinner, you can also expect to see freshly shucked live oysters and prawns. Pro tip: get there early to queue for the oysters and sashimi before the crowd hits.
The star of the show, though, were definitely the torched mentaiko half shell scallops. These were large, juicy, and generously topped with oh-so-sinful mentaiko mayonnaise for the perfect bite.
Craving for some shabu shabu? You’ll also be able to feast on unlimited beef, pork, fish, mussels, and so much more. Plus, there are even yong tau foo ingredients like seaweed chicken and cheese tofu!
Feel free to concoct your own soup bases from the broths available — you’ll find tom yum, Overeat special sukiyaki soup and more.
Meat lovers, be sure to head over to the teppanyaki and grill stations for beef cubes, thick pork belly slices, smoked beef brisket and wagyu steak. Some cuts are a little on the dry side, so we recommend sticking to the pork belly teppanyaki and the brisket.
End off on a sweet note with an assortment of cakes, fruits, and ice cream. While the dessert selection isn’t as plentiful as what you’d usually find at other buffets, it’s still pretty value-for-money considering the amount you’re paying for the entire spread.
Ready to indulge in one of the most affordable buffets around?
