You can get free-flow Argentinian ribeye for just S$48 at steak restaurant Boeuf in Telok Ayer, alongside decadent dishes like creamy bone marrow, wagyu tartare & more

There are days when only a juicy steak (and wine) will do. If you’re a fellow beef lover who agrees, and has yet to check out Boeuf, a fairly casual steakhouse in Telok Ayer, take this as a sign!

We’re talking an extensive selection of grass- and grain-fed prime ribs, aged up to 60 days, alongside steaks and cuts of beef from all over the world at accessible price points, and even free-flow ribeye on weekends, so read on.

Step into the cosy restaurant, with its warm red walls and dark wood floors, and ready yourself for a beef-centric experience that is value-for-money, without compromising on quality.

Those who want to have a pre-meal tipple can head upstairs to Boeuf The Cellar, a more relaxed lounge space boasting leather couches and low tables — an ideal setting for cheese and charcuterie with a glass of wine to start.

Visit from Tuesday to Saturday (3pm till late) and you’ll be able to enjoy all bottles of wine at 15% off with any cheese or charcuterie board ordered.

We highly recommend the Board Minnie (S$48) for smaller groups, consisting of two cheeses, bresaola (air-dried, salted beef), and veal rilette.

Move on to the Wagyu Tartare (S$28) raw Australian MBS Wagyu, grass-feed for around 400 days, and served with capers, shallots, and gherkins — although it may be a little too finely chopped for some.

The Bone Marrow (S$18/S$30), decked out in a fragrant ensemble of parsley, garlic, and portobello mushrooms, may seem daunting to some, but it doesn’t hurt to fully submit yourself to its unyielding richness once in a while.

Spread it on a crusty baguette, and just go to town!

Moving on to the stars of the show, there are two different tiers to choose from — the impressive Premium List or the more budget-friendly Superior List.

The latter is headlined by the Argentinian Aberdeen Black Angus Rib Eye 300+ Days Grass Fed (S$32), which boasts tender, delightfully smoky meat seared to a mouthwatering medium rare.

The best part? For just S$48++ per person, you can enjoy unlimited servings of this gorgeous ribeye on weekend for two hours at any time from 12pm to 10.30pm.

I don’t usually get excited over free-flow promotions or go for buffets in my own time, but free-flow Argentinian Aberdeen Black Angus Ribeye sounds like my idea of a perfect Saturday.

But if you’re in the mood for something way more extravagant, the Signature Dry-Aged Prime Rib Bone-In (from S$18 for 100g, minimum 1kg) is charcoal-grilled on lava stones, before being finished in the oven. How could resist this full-bodied beefy goodness?

Pair your meat with sauces like Steak Butter (S$5), Pepper (S$5), or the bold and bodacious Blue Cheese (S$6), and there you have it — a one-way ticket to steak heaven.

No steak is complete without an array of satisfying sides, which include the likes of Hand Cut Fries (S$9) served with a housemade mayonnaise; Kenya Beans (S$9) sauteed in olive oil and shallots; and Potato Gratin (S$12) perfumed with rosemary and garlic.

Before your meal comes to a close, end things on a sweet note with a classic, the gorgeously caramelised and crackly Creme Brulee (S$13).

It’s also part of the 3-Course Set Dinner (S$59.90), available on weekdays — you can tuck into appetisers like Signature Beef Carpaccio and mains like Australian MB2 Ribeye Steak or USDA Prime Sirloin Steak without breaking the bank!

Alternatively, the unique Choco De Coco (S$13), consisting of 64% Weiss Li Chu dark chocolate and chestnut — a cross between a mousse and brownie — will delight the most hardcore of chocoholics.

Looking to impress a special someone, celebrate a milestone, or simply just treat yourself to some seriously good beef and fine wines? It’s time to head down to the CBD, for Boeuf is the place to be!
