I may not be particularly fond of plushies or soft toys in general, but I have to admit: Jellycats are really, really cute.
If you’ve decided that it’s time to cave in and finally buy that Jellycat you’ve been eyeing for months, head on down to the New Bahru outlet of Sea Apple, a sustainable children’s brand.
They offer a unique in-store customisation experience in the form of a Create station, where you can personalise your very own Jellycat bunny. Yes, I’m talking about the iconic Bashful Bunny, with soft, fuzzy fur and floppy long ears that come in a myriad of colours and designs.
Take your pick from an array of small and medium-sized bunnies, priced at S$35.90 and S$52.90 respectively, or go smaller with Jellycat bag charms.
One thing to note is that you’re recommended to choose bunnies with ears made of fabric on the inside, but do enquire with the staff beforehand.
There are three different ways to personalise your jellycat, with the more elaborate option being Embroidery (S$18), which takes around five business days. Those on a time crunch can opt for Stickers (S$5 for 10 pieces) or Patches (from S$1), which you’ll be able to bring home on the spot.
Whether you’re seeking a personalised gift for your child, niece, nephew, best friend’s kid, partner or even yourself, there are plenty of adorable designs to choose from, ranging from alphabet letters to animals, fruits, and flowers.
But that’s not all, as you can also customise kid-sized caps, bags, baby bibs, apparel, and name tags.
At the time of writing, the Create service is available only for items purchased in store, so you won’t be able to swing by with your old, pre-loved jellycats.
