Burrow in the sand with ants, swim with giant sperm whales, admire the spectacular Savannah Night sky and more at this multi-sensory exhibit that will be a treat for your senses

They say in order to relax your mind, you need to be one with nature. Although, that might be a bit of a challenge considering how we would much rather stay indoors than to sweat it out in the sweltering heat. Well, the ArtScience Museum has a new hyper immersive exhibition that will send you crawling with ants, swimming with whales, and more!

Taking place from 27 May to 29 October 2023, the Sensory Odyssey: Into the Heart of Our Living World exhibit at the ArtScience Museum will take you into the seven ecosystems from the African Savannah to the French Guiana, down to Mauritius and even Greenland. And the best part, you don’t have to board a flight or pay exorbitant prices.

With the help of huge 8K floor-to-ceiling projections, you’ll be able to go from swimming with giant sperm whales to burrowing with ants and even flying with bats, all in one space. But your eyes won’t be the only ones in for a treat.

As its name suggests, the sensory exhibit will evoke all your senses — sight, sound, and smell. Apart from watching the creatures move in ultra HD, there will also be ambient sounds that mimic the natural environment. The displays will really make it feel like you’re actually walking in the park.

Don’t be freaked out if you suddenly get a whiff of damp wood or hear a rustling in the bushes as it’s all part of the display. The exhibit pays attention to all the tiny little details to mimic a lifelike experience in the wild for you to enjoy, appreciate, and bask in.

Apart from admiring nature, you’ll also get schooled on everything you’re seeing on the screens. There is an educational gallery that will feature a short description on a diversity of flora and fauna that was on display at the main exhibit. You’ll even find some local stories about nature in Singapore.

The exhibition will also bring about the importance of conservation and caring for our planets. Hopefully you will leave with a greater appreciation for nature and maybe take recycling more seriously.

Tickets will go on sale here from mid-May and Marina Bay Sands has advised that you pre-purchase your tickets early in order to have an enjoyable experience at the exhibit as there is limited capacity. You can purchase your tickets

Are you ready to rejuvenate your senses and reconnect with nature?
