Held across four heartland locations, on 10 August 2025 from 4pm to 9pm at Bishan Junction 8, One Punggol, FutsalArena @ Yishun, and Wisma Geylang Serai, the exhibition Our Time, Our Journey invites you to reconceptualise six transformative and revolutionary decades of nation-building through interactive displays and reminiscent storytelling.

12 uniquely designed photo booths, each representing a vicennial era of Singapore’s evolution, are also set up for you to capture precious memories of how far we have come as a nation.

For the first time, the Integrated Mobile Column combines air, land, and sea spectacle to feature an epic Aerial Flypast, Drive-Past at the Padang, and Maritime Display at Marina Bay. 

Keep a lookout for these timings for a dazzling explosion of fireworks across the night sky:

• 7.36pm and 7.47pm: Short bursts of fireworks
• 8.05pm: A longer fireworks display, complete with a light projector show across the city skyline
• 8.21pm: Final set of fireworks timed perfectly to the National Anthem

If you’re watching from home, look out your windows to catch the ‘Fly Our Flag’ Helicopter Flypast through the heartlands from 5.30pm to 6.20pm.

Heartland Celebrations

For those who want to beat the crowd, don’t fret because the National Day celebrations are being extended to the Heartlands on 10 August 2025.

From 11.30am to 1pm, keep your eyes peeled for the five convoys from the Mobile Column working their way across Singapore. They’ll be ending their journey at the five Heartland Celebration Sites, where you’ll find free NDP packs for ticket-holders and other fun activities for the family. 

If you’re at the open field next to Bishan Junction 8, you can even catch the Red Lions’ descent at 4pm.

The F-16 Flypast will also make its rounds across the Heartlands from 6pm to 6.30pm.

South Korea’s iconic water music festival is splashing its way to Singapore for the first time ever. Pop Air – Art is inflatable

Mobile Column 

Automobile lovers, look out! 

Five convoys with assets from the Singapore Armed Forces and Home Team will be working their way across Singapore from 11.30am–1pm. This will be its first return since 2020.

Each of the five routes will feature a 90-minute pit stop midway, so that the public can see the vehicles and meet the crew up close. This is the first time that the convoy has been open to the public, so don’t miss this opportunity to experience the Mobile Column right in your neighbourhood!

Heartland Celebration Sites

The five convoys will then reach the end points, which is where the Heartland Celebrations will be taking place from 4pm–9pm. Expect to find family-friendly activities, carnivals, live performances that showcase the identity of your specific Heartland region, and a grand finale featuring fireworks and a drone show.

Tickets to the celebrations can be collected at any community center, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each individual can collect up to two tickets and will receive a free NDP pack for each attendee. 

Red Lions  

If you’re partying at the Bishan Heartlands site, look to the sky at 4pm for the Red Lions as they make their descent. 

Make sure to get your cameras ready! 

Fighter Island Flypast

But, that’s not all! 

Finally, from 6pm–6.30pm, watch out for four F-16s fighters as they soar across the sky in a diamond formation. They’ll be making each loop twice as they fly over the Heartlands, so don’t fret if you miss them the first time.

Celebrations will be happening on 26 July 2025, 2 August 2025, and 9 August 2025. This year, the theme is Majulah SG Youth, celebrating the infectious energy and spirit of our youth. 

Held at The Promontory, this event is projected to accommodate up to 20,000 attendees (and yes, everybody gets a free NDP pack).

Entry starts at 4pm, so start queueing early to reserve your spot since the programme begins soon after at 4.10pm. The pre-parade live broadcast also commences at 5.30pm.

Look forward to a vibrant lineup by homegrown talents such as pop singer-songwriter Regina Song, rapper ShiGGa Shay, and singer Shazza. There will also be performances by school groups such as NTU’s Modern Jazz Dance Society and SMU’s SoundFoundry.

Need some encouragement and motivation? Head over to Dream Exchange, where you’ll be immersed in a phone booth-esque space to listen to anonymous recordings from other youths.

Lean into your artsy side at the Majulah SG Youth Art Installation, featuring doodles by local artists. Or, the Future We Create Photobooth reimagines what Singapore will look like in the future with the help of an AI generator.

With today’s terrible job market, we need all the help we can get (admin fought tooth and nail for this internship). So, visit the NTUC Booth for career development advice, mental wellness, and financial planning programs.

The post NTUC NDP Bay Celebrations 2025 is back with ballot-only tickets, live performances by local artists, interactive installations and more appeared first on Confirm Good.

The dim sum restaurant has gone full steam ahead with the celebrations by offering a special SG60 menu of 8 local-inspired creations at just S$6 each. 

First, the beloved Chinese pork rib soup dish has been condensed into the Bak Kut Teh Xiao Long Bao (3 pieces). 

To make this soup dumpling, the herbal broth is slow-steamed for 16 hours. Pair it with the must-have condiments, dark soy sauce and chilli for the full experience.

Next, the restaurant will have you clawing for this local specialty dish turned bao.

That’s right, it’s the Crusty Chilli Crab Bao (2 pieces). While a whole crab can’t be found here, you won’t be crabby as the same flavours you know and love are guaranteed.

This fried bun is stuffed with real crab meat in chilli crab sauce and decorated with an adorable hand-made crab-shaped crust.

Continuing to fan the flames is the Handmade Otak-Otak Siew Mai (3 pieces). The aromatic steamed fish custard is crowned with black tobiko and swaddled with a spinach-infused wrapper.

Another coconut and spice-based dish is the Laksa Rice Flour Roll. 

This broth is just as intense, using over 10 ingredients including laksa leaf, chillies, turmeric, and belacan.

This rice flour roll is then filled with chicken, shrimp, crabmeat, and dried shrimp. For the finishing touch, the essential tau pok, fish cake, and laksa gravy are added. 

Yum Cha intends to keep you filled with the Satay Fried Rice. Wok-tossed with turmeric, peanut oil, and curry powder, this simple-looking dish is not to be underestimated. 

Much like how our sunny island is a melting pot of cultures, the trending Chinese meat pancake is blended with a familiar local texture.

Introducing the Prata Pork Pancake, a crispy prata encased with minced pork.

Of course, we can’t forget a dim sum restaurant staple — the bolo bao. This fluffy bun’s cookie-like top crust is specially made with kaya to make the Kaya Bolo Bun. 

Served with a generous butter slab, this is perfect for your breakfast fix.

You can’t have your kaya butter bun without your morning joe, so the dim sum restaurant has collaborated with Singapore brand Coffee Hock for the Kopi Gao Bao (2 pieces). 

Using Coffee Hock’s signature Kopi Gao powder, it’s embraced by the fluffy steamed bun.

Spend a minimum of S$60 in a single receipt from 17 June 2025 to 31 August 2025 to purchase a set of handmade Five Stones (worth S$12.80+) at just S$6. 

Collaborating with impact-driven local brand Re:Store, the dim sum restaurant brings new meaning to this childhood game as the beanbags are hand-sewn by artists from the special needs community. 

These talents are supported by SG Enable, and with said support, Re:Store provides employment to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

That means not only are you eating good, but you’re doing good too.

To wrap things up, you can put your Five Stones skills to the test in Yum Cha’s in-house Five Stones Champions at the restaurant. Should you emerge victorious, you’ll receive a S$20 Yum Cha voucher.

Taking place from now until 11 August 2024, the One United People special national day event by Defence Collective Singapore will have a series of NDP-themed activities for you to show that Singapore is home, truly. 

This special event is hosted by Defence Collective Singapore and much like the actual National Day parade, they will also be bringing their activities into the heartlands!

You’ll definitely wanna check out the exhibitions in the heartlands from 10 August 2024 as there’ll be exclusive merch to be redeemed including a special “chope” tissue packet that will certainly come in really handy, as well as cute stickers, tote bags and more! More details can be found here. 

Kicking things off, let’s all take a little trip around Singapore town and embark on a little self-guided tour to learn even more about our country’s deep history through interactive exhibits. 

There are a total of four trails, each taking place at the Singapore Discovery Centre, Airforce Museum, Singapore Navy Museum and at several National Day Heartland celebrations. 

At the end of each trail, you’ll get to redeem a special National Day commemorative magnet. Each magnet sports a different design that is unique to each location. Trust me, these magnets are so cute,  you’ll definitely wanna collect ‘em all!

Do you know all the words to our National pledge? Prove it at Singapore Discovery Centre’s interactive photo opportunity. Here, you’ll get to stand tall and proud on the podium and recite the National pledge as you get your pictures taken. 

Photo redemptions are available only while stocks last and are limited to one redemption per visitor. In essence, you only have one shot, so you better make it your best shot! Bonus points if you can say all the words smoothly and correctly in one go.

Of course, once you have your pretty photos printed, you’re gonna need a place to put it. Lucky for you, part of Singapore Discovery Centre’s One United People activities also includes a DIY photo frame. 

As its name suggests, you’ll need to get a little crafty and creative here. Make your own photo frame and decorate it with all things Singapore!

There’s even special activities for the little ones to enjoy including dramatised interactive story-telling sessions that will uncover the tales of Sang Nila Utama, the legendary swordfish attack, and more. 

Even the adults will be tickled by this — I know I was. And there were even stories that I haven’t even heard before! Each session will tell a different tale, so you’ll definitely wanna stick around for those. 

Since National Day is all about celebrating Singapore, why not give a shoutout to our local talents too! Enjoy a free screening of the local movie Wonderland — a local production starring Mark Lee, Peter Yu and Xenia Tan. 

The movie is entirely in Hokkien (don’t worry, there’s subtitles) and depicts traditional fatherly love, as well as the importance of companionship during one’s silver years. You’ll also see popular landmarks from olden day Singapore like the Wonderland Amusement Park in Kallang — a site that no longer exists today. 

This is probably the best movie to watch with your loved ones especially on National Day where we celebrate harmony and togetherness! 

Of course, what’s a celebration without some music?

In the spirit of National Day, local performers like yIN Harmony, Ageless Bridge, Dionne Lim Voice Studio, and more will be taking the stage to sing some National Day classics! Make sure to join them at the Play Ground and sing along with them as One United People! 

If you think that’s all that will be happening, think again. 

Over at the Singapore Navy Museum, you can look forward to letting your creative juices run wild with the DIY button making as well as temporary tattoos and more! There’s also a series of activities taking place over at the Airforce Museum too — now’s your chance to explore these museums and get your hands on some exclusive merch while you’re at it!

While I don’t have any tickets to catch the parade this year, I do think that spending my time at Singapore Discovery Centre is a pretty good alternative. Especially considering that these activities are all free and you still get to show your love for the country.

Plus, you don’t have to wrestle with the insane crowds at the padang — I think it’s a double win for me! 

The special line-up of activities for One United People will be taking place until 11 August 2024, so make sure you head down ASAP!

Did you know that the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year? In light of RSAF55, they will be giving away 2,500 tickets to experience what it’s like to fly in their military aircraft and more. The inner child in me is super excited for this. 

Some of the aircraft that you can look forward to taking a flight in include the CH-47SD Chinook helicopter, C130 Aircraft — similar to the ones that the Red Lions jump out of during their military freefall display — the Fokker 50 aircraft, and the Singapore Youth Flying Club’s DA40 trainer aircraft. 

The aircraft will be flying around the eastern and southern parts of Singapore so you might be able to spot your home from up in the sky as well as smaller islands south of Singapore. 

If you’re all riled up and excited about the flights like I am, here’s what you gotta do. From noon on Thursday, 20 July, until 22 Aug 2023, ballots for flight tickets will be made available through FormSG. The link can be found on RSAF’s social media channels and is open to all Singaporeans and permanent residents. Do note that each person is only allowed to ballot once — remember that sharing is caring, okay? 

It is important to note that the date, time, and aircraft type will be randomly allocated by the balloting system which means you might not get your preferred flight. But for what it’s worth, it’s still a unique experience like no other. Besides, how often can you say that you’ve flown in a military aircraft? 

You can also take part in RSAF55 social media contests and giveaways, available on RSAF’s instagram and YouTube channel, to increase your chances of scoring a flight ticket. The contests start on Friday and run until 22 August 2023.  Results of the ballot, giveaways, and contests will be announced at the end of August — remember to mark the date and keep your fingers crossed! 

Due to safety reasons, only those above the age of five and are at least one metre tall are allowed on board. Unfortunately, those with mobility issues, or with any pre-existing heart or lung conditions, and those who are pregnant will not be able to board the familiarisation flights.
