Remember the iconic Chin-Chin art exhibition where we saw colourful phallic installations standing proud and tall before our eyes? Well, BLXCK by ActionCity has a new equally cheeky exhibition that will certainly tickle your fancy and have you overflowing with excitement all at the same time.
The Wood Morning Singapore exhibition is a play on the word “morning wood” — something us fellas would be pretty familiar with (if you know what I mean). The exhibition will feature popular cartoon characters in a light that you have never seen before (unless you already have, in your wildest fantasies).
And yes, if you haven’t already guessed it, these guys will all be standing at attention — especially their (not so) little member down there. Apart from having raging hard-ons poking out of their pants, these figurines also have another thing in common, that is, they’re all made from wood.
The cheeky exhibition is located at the ground floor of Funan and it is decorated with lots of greenery and large cartoon trees. There’s also a parental advisory sign placed at the entrance, so maybe don’t bring your kids along for this one — that’s a dick move and we don’t need this to come up in therapy when they’re older, you know?
But how cheeky is this exhibition? Well the cheeky mural at the front of the exhibit space, along with the words “Rise and Shine” should give you a pretty good idea of what else will be whipped out behind those doors.
As you enter the exhibition, you’ll be greeted by large-scale sculptures designed by French artist Juce Gace. You can even pose for pictures with one of Juce’s iconic sculpture standing at full mast — just make sure to keep everything in your pants.
Some of Juce’s masterpieces from his popular collections like A Skulltoon Awakening will also be on full display around the exhibition so make sure to take a good, long and hard look at them. There will also be a special event-exlcusive A wood Awakening character in the iconic pose on display at too. Is he a grower or a shower? We’ll leave you to decide.
There will also be a new figurine called JEM (Awakening Edition) which will be released with a limited quantity of just 100 pieces — so if you’re a huge fan, make sure to grab it ASAP. The figurine is a collaboration between Juce Gace and local artist Tanavit23!. It features Tanavit23!’s signature character JEM sporting Juce’s cheeky erection.
The exhibition is free and runs from now until 22 October 2023, so if you’re looking to get some fun and action this weekend, make sure to come down to the Wood Morning Singapore exhibition and get plenty of shots.
