Concert goers, we might have just found your new smartphone of choice. Vivo has collaborated with ZEISS to co-engineer its latest product — X300 FE.

This lightweight flagship features a Super Telephoto Camera, designed to deliver leading image performance in a portable frame. Together with a promised all-day battery and seamless connectivity, this sounds like a compelling choice on paper.

But how does it actually perform in real-world circumstances? Some of us got a chance to have an early look at the X300 FE and played around with its photography capabilities. Here is what stood out to us.

Concert-ready camera with insane zoom

The first thing right out the gate — the 50MP Super Telephoto Camera is no joke. In Portrait mode, the range goes from 23mm (1x zoom) to 100mm (4–5x zoom). But you can push the zoom even further digitally, if you are willing to sacrifice some image quality.

Opening up the Camera app on the X300 FE will present a multitude of features, but one of the highlights would definitely be Stage Mode. This mode adds enhanced stability, facial details, and clarity, even under complex lighting conditions common in concerts.

If you’re someone who wants to capture concert memories and truly remember how you felt, you can also turn on Dual-View Stage Video, which utilises both the front and back cameras. This mode captures what you are seeing and your own reactions.

Want to take your phone photography and videography to the next level? Consider the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which can be purchased separately as an add-on. This brings the standard focal length from a maximum of 100mm (4–5x zoom) to a whopping 1600mm (~70x zoom).

The XE300 FE’s camera capabilities are powered by a combination of ZEISS’s Imaging System and the AI True Clarity Engine, which has a NICE 3.0 Optical Reconstruction Engine and a MAGIC 2.0 Image Restoration Engine. These all work together to produce the clear images you see.

But AI in XE300 FE goes beyond image capture and into image editing and creation. AI Creative Camera is another mode you can switch to if you’d like to have some fun with the photos you take. Styles such as ‘Sunlight’, ‘Celebration’, and ‘Underwater’ re-imagine your photos as something straight out of a movie.

As a test, we tried the ‘Underwater’ style when taking a photo of one of our colleagues. Though the results took a while to process, and you can definitely tell it’s AI, we were pretty surprised at how well it was able to create realistic underwater effects out of nothing.

Another thing that surprised us about the XE300 FE is its compatibility with other phone ecosystems. For example, if you want to transfer photos to someone using an iPhone, you can do so easily with One-Tap Transfer, simply by placing the top of your phones together.

The phone’s OriginOS 6 also allows you to work seamlessly across Windows and Mac laptops, as well as iPads. AirPods also work with the XE300 FE without issues.

Price & release bundles

For those of you interested in the XE300 FE, a question you must have right now is about its price. Compared to other flagship phones in the market, it comes at a relatively affordable price of S$1,099. The X300 FE Telephoto Extender Kit will cost you an additional S$299 if you choose to go for it.

Journey West: Web of Deceit by Paper Monkey Theatre

Inspired by the beloved classic, Journey to the West, Web of Deceit by Paper Monkey Theatre is a lively and humorous performance. With an interesting twist, Master Tang and Piggy fall into the trap of a crafty Spider Demon who spins her web. You will be on the edge of your seat, witnessing whether Sun Wu Kong and Sandy can come up with an ingenious plan to save them.

Catch the performance at The Chamber (Level 2) at two time slots daily: 1.30pm – 2.30pm and 3.30pm – 4.30pm. Tickets are priced at S$5. Children aged 10 and below must be accompanied by an adult.

Monster Parade

A crowd favourite — the Monster Parade brings Civic District to life in a colourful celebration of creativity and imagination from 4.30pm to 5pm daily. The parade begins at The Arts House Lawn with a surprise appearance from a tiny wandering mouse before making its way through Victoria Theatre’s Atrium and ending at Anderson Bridge.

Dress Up and Join the Fun

What’s a monster parade without costumes? Dress up as your favourite Monstrous Fun character — Britney, Shelly, Daley, Riley, or Hailey — and join in the parade. From 4pm to 4.30pm daily, keep an eye out for Britney the Monster (the 3-eyed purple monster) roaming around the grounds and interacting with young visitors. You might be one of the few lucky participants who walk away with Crayola prizes worth over S$80.

On 30 May, The Arts House’s Foyer at Level 1 will have a FREE exclusive Crayola Activity Booth featuring specially designed Monstrous Fun colouring sheets. Grab your crayons, coloured pencils and markers, and get colouring. Allow your creativity to run free in the open space of the lawn.

Other Activities

Beyond the main highlights, Monstrous Fun also features five FREE drop-in activities around The Arts House at the Old Parliament. The little ones can enjoy free face painting, interactive storytelling sessions like Words Come Alive!, and Sarah Lim’s Touch Wood! For more hands-on activities, there are also Monster Hunt and Magical Sweet Monsters: From Yuck To Yum! Workshop that encourages creativity and imaginative play.

The Arts House has lined up a series of Monstrous Fun programmes packed with interactive experiences and family-friendly fun. It is the perfect excuse to spend quality time together while stepping into a playful world where creativity takes centre stage.

The Script back in Singapore on 31 March 2027 – ticket pre-sales soon

The Man Who Can’t Be Moved is back as the Man In The Arena. Popular Irish pop-rock band, The Script, is returning to Singapore on 31 March 2027 as part of their upcoming world tour. The concert will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The “Man In The Arena” Tour has such an appropriate name, considering it is the title of the band’s lead single for their upcoming album, The User’s Guide To Being Human. At the same time, the tour will see the band performing in arenas, stadiums and concert halls around the world.

The Script, having accumulated billions of streams, millions of album sales, and countless fans worldwide over the years, is sure to be welcomed back to our nation with buzz and anticipation. The last time the band was here in our Lion City was in early 2025 for their “Satellites” World Tour.

The band, widely known for hits such as ‘Breakeven’, ‘Hall of Fame’, and ‘Superheroes’, will perform these classics, alongside new songs from their latest album, which will be released on 14 August 2026.

The “Man In The Arena” Tour will kick off this October in the United Kingdom and Ireland, before heading to locations around the globe. It will then land on our shores in March 2027. Ticketing details have yet to be announced, except that general sales will go live from 9.30am on 29 May 2026. Early pre-sales are expected to occur a day or two prior, so keep a lookout on The Script’s official store for more updates.

If you’re an iPhone user who loves sports and have not heard, Apple Sports is now available in Singapore. This is the ultimate app that all sports fans need on their iPhone, especially if they want live updates on the go.

Apple Sports first launched in 2024 in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. However, on May 19 2026, Apple announced the app’s launch in more than 90 countries, expanding its services to a total of around 170 countries worldwide.

This gives more sports fans around the globe access to scores and statistics, and live tournament updates involving their favourite teams. This is a timely expansion as it came just in time before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

When the mega sporting event kicks off on 11 June 2026, Apple Sports users will be able to track the tournament as a whole or follow specific country teams they want to support. Once you follow a team, Live Activities will give you real-time updates as matches progress.

These live notifications will appear and stay on your iPhone lock screen and Apple Watch, allowing you to be on top of the action with a glance. You can also add brand new Apple Sports widgets to your iPhone, iPad and MacBook Home Screens to keep track of scores there.

Other features related to the World Cup include a tournament bracket view, visual formations, and Apple News integration. Whether you’re looking for a clear view of matchups and results, a tactical view of your team’s starting line-up, or the latest news and headlines, it’s just a few taps away.
