Alatin Snow Bean House is located along Jalan Permas Utara 1, about a 20-minute drive away from JB Sentral. They’re also open till 12am, perfect for a quick dessert run before heading back home.

On the menu, the cafe offers four kinds of desserts — Pandan Jelly Noodle, Milk Jelly, Cartoon Milk Jelly, and Snow Bean.

If you’re someone who is all about the cute aesthetics, then go for the Cartoon Milk Jelly (from S$3.99, RM13.90) series. It’s essentially the viral jiggly pudding except made using soya bean and here, you can choose from three different characters — a duck, rabbit, or dog.

The dessert comes with fresh watermelon cubes, mango, and popping boba, served with milk on the side for you to pour over your dessert.

For something more unique, you should definitely try the Pandan Jelly Noodle series — yes, you read that right.

Don’t worry, the pandan jelly does not have a noodle-like texture or consistency. It still tastes very much like pandan flavoured beancurd.

Not sure which to get? The Fresh Fruit Pandan Jelly Noodle (S$4.56, RM15.90) is a refreshing combo that comes with watermelon and mango cubes.

If you love mango and taro then you definitely have to get the Mango Taro Pandan Jelly Noodle (S$4.85, RM16.90). It comprises mango cubes, pearls and taro balls, served alongside pandan jelly noodles.

They also have a DIY option for you to create your own bowl of happiness. For just S$4.56 (RM15.90), you’ll get to choose your dessert base, along with four toppings ranging from peach gum, taro balls, pearls, mango, osmanthus jelly, popping boba and so much more.

As someone who loves beancurd dessert bowls, I’ll definitely be adding this to my list of places to visit in JB. Looks like it’s time for yet another food adventure across the border.
